From January 30–February 1, 40 YES students spent an unforgettable weekend at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center!

Thanks to the generous support of Minnesota’s Environmental and Natural Resources Trust Fund, Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center, and our incredible community, students dove into hands-on workshops including the planetarium, owl pellet studies, block printing, the ropes challenge course, birding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and Earth Works.

Even more meaningful were the friendships formed and the connections strengthened with like-minded peers from across Minnesota.

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who participated in the Holiday Light Recycling Challenge!!

Together, we recycled an incredible 1,150 lbs of holiday lights—keeping them out of the landfill and making a real impact!

Participating teams & totals:
• Watertown-Mayer – 100 lbs
• Mankato West – 541 lbs
• WWG – 14 lbs
• NLS – 239 lbs
• Royalton – 180 lbs
• MACCRAY – 76 lbs
