The OCCF enhances the quality of life for all citizens of OC, now & for generations to come!

Your OCCF has grown through the participation of hundreds of people that donate into a permanent endowment. A few partnerships that have been made possible through these funds include:

The Owen County Learning Network (that provides educational programs to our community

The Owen County Family YMCA (funding for the swimming pool)

Cunot Senior Citizens Center (to build a waste treatment facility)

Gosport History Museum (to house the museum in Gosport)

Annual Grants and Scholarship Program (this foundation manages over 39 scholarhsip funds and over 42 granting funds that make local grants)

Help Owen Valley High School students travel to Europe in Summer 2027 by pranking your friends! Send a flock of flamingos to your friend's house, remove a flock for your house, or purchase flock insurance to protect your yard from the flock. 🏠

We are saddened by the passing of Richard Wayne “Rich” Lorenz, a longtime friend and supporter of the OCCF.

We are grateful for his generosity, wisdom, and many years of support for organizations throughout Owen County. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Nancy McKay & Richard Wayne Lorenz Family Fund. A letter will be sent to Rich's family acknowledging your gift.

Thank you, Dolly! 🦋

In honor of Dolly Parton's recent passing, the OCCF wants to highlight how she and the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has helped Owen County. 🎵

The DPIL has provided books for over 470 children since it came to Owen County. 96 kids have graduated from the program, and it is currently serving around 350 kids. 📖

The Foundation is proud to partner with the United Way of South Central Indiana since they extended their program to Owen County in the summer of 2024. ☀️

🎓 Happy First Day Back, Skylar & Katelyn! 📚

Today marks the first day of junior year for our wonderful OCCF and Owen News interns!

We are so fortunate to have Katelyn and Skylar as part of the OCCF team and love getting to watch them grow both professionally and academically. As much as we will miss seeing them in the office, we’re wishing them a fantastic first day and an exciting, successful year ahead!

Congratulations to the Freedom Community Center! 🎉

They received a $5,000 Community Investment Grant to help with a parking lot expansion. This expansion will take them from a limited 10-car parking lot to around a 50-car capacity parking lot! 🚗
