Wednesday April 29th sign-up is open for your spicy, feral, & frisky kitties. Community Cats from ANY county are welcome at $45 per cat for spay/neuter spots until filled.

No dogs. No cats in crates, carriers, boxes, baskets, bags etc. CATS IN TRAPS ONLY! Small Dogs & Friendly Cats have their own dates, watch the page for when those are announced.

TNR'd cats for this clinic must come in an appropriate sized trap (average of 29-32 inches long) in GOOD condition - one cat per trap. No exceptions! Traps are available for loan with priority for those who have signed up & PAID.

Cats: UNDER 6 years. Kittens: ensure they're big enough - min 12 weeks/3 lbs for their S/N.

Complete the form AND submit the payment to secure your spot(s). PayPal is the only accepted method of payment. You can always ask a friend or family member to send payment for you if you don't have PayPal.

MAX of 4 cats per caretaker/address. Space is limited. FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE.

Support your local animal shelter!
Shelters are not the problem and, they will only improve with your persistence and assistance.

March was incredible at Rowan County Animal Shelter. Together, we saved 299 lives. 🐾

Every shelter adoption makes a difference. When you choose to adopt, you give one animal a loving home and create space for us to save another. Shelter pets are deserving, loving, and ready for a second chance.

Thank you to our amazing adopters, rescuers, volunteers, networkers, donors, and Animal Services staff. Your compassion and support make this lifesaving work possible every single day.

While we have been elbows deep in this i-Cats Colony and learning how to fully embrace the 'Pivot' - we have missed making some important updates. To wit:

* 15 cat colony expanded to 17 because, surprises.
* 15 trapped, spayed & neutered
* 10 females (!!) 5 males
* 10 remain IN RESCUE
* 2 remain to TNR - Gray/White Lady & Black Baby

* 1 major surgery (amputation)
* 2 wound repairs under anesthesia
* 2 (current) hospitalizations
* 3 add'l combo tests needed for rescue stays
* 2 more spay/neuters with testing for TBD TNR

* Medical expenses thus far $2,110
* Donations received thus far $1,365
* Current SHORTFALL to date $745!

This does not include the additional spay/neuter costs of $215, plus the TBD costs of the current hospitalizations for Iggy (neck wound) and Impy (complications with ongoing treatment due to URI & inappetence).

Right now we have 2/3 of this colony IN OUR CARE for the duration.

We have thrown the "R" in TNR out the window for these 10. The majority of them are showing very positive socialization signs.

But this is not what we expected with this "TNR project". While we have embraced the Pivot wholeheartedly - this project has consumed our finances, foster space, and any bandwidth we may have to assist elsewhere periodT.

While we may be struggling, we are still so very thankful for all of YOU that are right there with us in this! Every dollar, every message, every phone call - all help us, to keep helping them.

We are not gonna lie - we will be pushing hard for help to manage the rest of this financial burden. You might see some things for sale, auction, or raffle even - every dollar is already spent for a while now. We appreciate all that you have done and continue to do for these i-Cats!

A "plan" is a detailed proposal, method, or.... an intended course of action developed in advance to achieve a goal (!)

We had one of those, we swear. Trap the last 3 kits: gray baby, black baby, and gray/white lady.

Meet gray baby, Icy.

And... since today is International Rescue Cat Day - meet the deviation from the plan: Iffin'. As in, iffin' we had known s/he existed we would have revised said plan. *sigh*

Icy and Iffin' make cats number 14 and 15 respectively. And we still have the last two to go.

We will post a reconciliation update tomorrow (receipts and all) but suffice to say - this project has been bigger, and more involved than we had originally anticipated.
More cats, more injuries, more necessary funds.

Every single dollar goes to these kitties - send a little $ love if you can, because rescue doesn't take a day off.

Update #... ummm we not even sure now 😆 But today we celebrate lucky 13!!

Some nasty rain doesn't stop Res-Q Runner from chasing down our bestie, the snip-dealer, Community Pets Mobile Veterinary Clinic in Mooresville.

We snuck into their event hosted by Piedmont Animal Rescue - PAR with two more kits from this colony sh*t-uation. Meet #12 & #13, Itch and Inch!

The Plan. Continues.
The Pivot. Of course. 🙄
New count: 11 safe. To go: 4 at least. (We aren't even gonna talk about the orange stranger that rolled up on us...what the heck?!?!)
Taking on the universe = adding a 4 pack to the "win" column.
Meet Iron, Idol, Icon and Indigo.
3 females. 1 male. Pregnancies averted, litters prevented. We call that success.
All four received their ✂️❤️✂️ today at Rowan Neuter Scooter with the amazing Community Pets Mobile Veterinary Clinic team.
We aren't done yet.
Not giving up.
We're in this - and so thankful that many of y'all are too. Because rescue doesn't take a day off!
