🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT — CAT OWNERS, PLEASE BE VIGILANT! 🚨

Over the past month, several cats have gone missing in the Junction City, Louisiana/Arkansas area.

Sadly, A sweet calico named Christmas made it back home, but after emergency treatment, she succumbed to a severe infection caused by gunshot wounds to her back legs. 💔

📍 Areas of concern:
• North Elm
• North Myrtle
• East 3rd Street
• West Elm Street

Please keep your cats safely indoors and be aware of their surroundings. Christmas's story is heartbreaking, and we don't want another family to experience this kind of loss.

We don't know all the circumstances surrounding these missing cats, but please pay attention, protect your pets, and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement.

Rest peacefully, sweet Christmas. You deserved better. 🐾💔

💜 A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who donated to our $5.00 Friday —especially those who have opened their hearts and homes to one of our former rescues. Your continued love means the world to us! 🐾❤️

A special shout-out to Sassy, Earle, and Van Gogh's family......Thank you for loving one of our own and supporting our mission. Once a Southern Paws baby, always a Southern Paws baby.🐶🐱💜

Since that post we have accepted into our rescue a mama and two of her puppies. Thank you Angel Robertson for saving this family and allowing them to stay at your home while we look for them a new family.

Fostering is the #1 thing that we need and the one thing we don't have. We can vet them, take care of their medical needs but we first need a place for them to be safe.

Today was a bittersweet day at Southern Paws Spay and Neuter Clinic. 💔🐾

For three years, this incredible woman has given her time, her energy, her heart, and countless hours of hard work to help the animals and families who walk through our doors.

Today was her last day with us, and while we are so happy for whatever comes next for her, saying goodbye is never easy.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of what we do. ❤️

They don't always get recognized. They don't do it for a paycheck. They don't do it for praise or recognition. They simply show up because they care.

Every animal helped, every family served, every appointment completed, every frightened pet comforted and every life changed has been made possible because people like her were willing to give a piece of themselves to something bigger.

Three years is a LOT of love, dedication, dirty hands, long days, tired feet and wagging tails. 🐾

And to everyone reading this: If you've ever thought about volunteering, please do it. You don't have to have special skills. You don't have to be able to give every day. You just have to be willing to give what you can.

Because sometimes, a few hours of your time can change an animal's entire life.

Volunteers don't just help the mission… they ARE the mission. 🐾❤️

Southern Paws will always be grateful for you Stephanie Thurmon ❤️

Stephanie is stepping back from the clinic but she will always be with SPAR, once you are in😁 you are ALWAYS IN🐕🐈😎.
