Sometimes something happens right in our own backyard and it changes our perspective.

Suddenly, the things we were stressing about don’t seem quite so important and we’re reminded of what really matters...

Our people. Our homes. Our neighbors. Our community. The simple gift of an ordinary day.

We move through life assuming tomorrow will look a lot like today, but moments like these remind us that life can change in an instant.

So maybe we use this as a reminder to slow down a little, check on our neighbors, and be grateful for the ordinary.

Because sometimes the ordinary is the very thing we’re truly most thankful for.
