The furry Tiler for the Pasturized Masonic Lodge meeting high on the northern Black Hills of SD, during the Black Hill's Rally, is calling the Craft to order again soon. (Yes! It's in a real pasture, so you step carefully) For the past couple of years, during the Black Hills Motorcycle Rally, Spearfish Lodge No. 18, has hosted this great meeting on the Bear Ridge Ranch adjacent to the SD/WY line. The view from this high plateau spans across an area of three states, and the sunsets in the west are spectacular. We hope Tootsie the coyote, who provided the entertainment and songs last year will return once more. This will be an 'open' Lodge, so that the Masons and their Ladies can both be a part of this great evening. The meeting will be held Thursday evening, Aug. 11, 5:00 PM local time. An evening dinner will be held at the site, meeting to follow. For more information contact [email protected], or stop by during the Biker's breakfasts at the Spearfish Masonic Lodge, 544 Canyon St, during the Biker breakfast hours (7AM-11AM) You must have a reservation for this outdoor meal by Monday noon, but to attend the meeting only, no reservation is needed. The Spearfish Lodge Breakfasts are noted at the best you can find during the rally, and are " all you can eat." A full historic display of Black Hills Masonry, best roads to travel, and unique locations that few tourists normally see, photos and maps are also found at the Lodge during the morning meal.

Another photo of representatives within the Spearfish Lodge family, including Tava Timm, (Charles V. Nicolas' daughter) and long time Secretary of Spearfish Lodge, and member of Yellowstone no. 88. Past Master Clare Armstrong. Both Charles Sr., and Clare have made many visits to ceremonies and dedications at Ft. Buford over the years, and are considered part of the regulars that gather every year or two for special events and dedications. This year was to dedicate two addition Flag Poles on the Flag Line. One for the Canadian Maple Leaf, and the Second to fly the North West Mounted Police Lodge No. 11, Regina, SK, banner.

Three generations of Masons from Spearfish Lodge, in front of the Buffalo Soldier Monument, at Yellowstone Historic Lodge No. 88, Ft. Buford, ND Masonic Foundation Site, Saturday, July, 16, 2022. These three family members were installed recently by unanimous consent for their home Lodge in the following order . Master Charles W. Nicholas, Sr, Warden Charles V Nicholas, and Trayven Timm, Jr. Warden. Another historic occasion for Spearfish No. 18. All three are also members of Yellowstone Historic Lodge No. 88, at Fort Buford.

Although our famous Brother, and Past Grand Master of Montana is one of the most noted figures in the Black Hills of South Dakota, his final resting place is marked with a plain marble headstone. No one passing by would know of his marvelous history. In the end all things are equal. It is your legacy for what you will be remembered for, and those in which you place your trust. He chose wisely.
