In August, Jaymia and Emily, in partnership with the City of Spearfish, had the opportunity to present at the Western Planner Conference in Sioux Falls.

Our presentation, “Spearfish Becoming a Trail Town,” explored what can happen when city government and local community organizations work together toward a shared vision.

We’re proud to share what we’ve been building in Spearfish, and even more excited to keep learning from communities doing this work across the West.

Let’s talk trails.

You might want to grab a cup of coffee and settle in for the New Trails Grand Opening speech by Emily Brown. She puts words to the bigger “why” behind what we do and why these trails mean so much more than just recreation.

We’ve spent the whole week celebrating Bike Week with the Spearfish community, and honestly, it’s been pretty magical.

Thank you to everyone who shows up, pitches in, cheers each other on, and helps make this place a community. We’re so grateful for you.

Open mic! Come play some music and help us celebrate🎤🎸🎹

The Spearfish community, along with our campground guests, are invited to attend the "Party in the Woods: New Trails Grand Opening" at Spearfish City Campground this Saturday. Activities will begin at 2:15 PM with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate the newest trail in Spearfish. The event will feature open-mic live music, so please feel free to bring your guitar, keyboard, or simply share your singing talent and participate in the festivities. Please note the parking location!

Every day is a beautiful day at Spearfish City Campground!
