Spearfish PALS (People Assisting Locals)

Spearfish PALS (People Assisting Locals) is an all-volunteer team connecting people in the community who have a need with those willing to assist with that need. Our immediate goal with the Covid-19 Virus is to connect at-risk individuals that should not leave their homes and those experiencing food insecurity with someone willing to pick-up the items needed and drop them to the individual in need.

Privacy is our utmost priority. As such, we have two forms. One for volunteers and one for those needing assistance. We will never post the name or other information of either party on Facebook. Once an application if received from a volunteer, a Spearfish PALS representative will get in contact with you to review your application. We will hold your application on file and call upon your when a need arises that you are able to fill.

When we receive a request for assistance, we will contact you to verify your request and let you know we are working on finding a volunteer to assist. A call to action will be placed on Facebook seeking assistance. An example of what we might post is, "We have an elderly person needing milk and bread dropped to their home in Spearfish, please fill out the volunteer form and send us a private message letting us know you can assist."
