Spartanburg Academic Movement

Spartanburg Academic Movement SAM works to build economic mobility across Spartanburg County by improving student achievement.

We engage community educators, leaders, and service providers to improve student success. SAM is a movement driven by a deep belief that Spartanburg Countyโ€™s economic vitality depends on raising the value we place on educational achievement to levels that feed an economy in which know-how and expertise are key drivers of success. We work to ensure, promote, and magnify student success throughout o

ur County. We do this by focusing the collective impact of community leaders in education, business, and nonprofit services along a cradle-to-career continuum. We analyze achievement data, identify success gaps and work to fill those gaps by engaging community services and resources where they are needed most.
