TODAY - pick up your FoodShare box if you ordered one! 147 Chapel St from 12:30-5:30.

Apples are from Tk Family Farm and cucumbers, squash, and tomatoes are all grown here in South Carolina.

We also have Napa cabbage in the box for the first time ever! The flavor is mild and sweet, less peppery & pungent than standard round cabbage. Great for stir-frys and soups, raw in salads, and it's the primary star ingredient in traditional Korean spicy fermented kimchi. Yum!

Today we have our first apples of the year from TK Family Farm! There are also SC grown jalapeno peppers and roma tomatoes grown at District 6 Cragmoor Farms.

We had the pleasure of visiting TK Family Farm to pick up the gala apples. TK Family Farm LLC grows 20 varieties of apples and has about 4500 apple trees grown on trellises! Your FoodShare box supports local farmers like Jon, a first generation farmer. We love this ongoing partnership that dates back to 2019! 🥰🍎

We had SC-Grown Mustard greens, peaches, squash, peppers, and NC sweet potatoes in our FoodShare box this week. I made this delicious salad with the peaches and mustard greens. Spicy and delicious!!!
