Join us on Saturday, June 27th, for Spartanburg’s Greatest American City Sweep as we partner with City of Spartanburg, SC to celebrate America's 250th anniversary!

📍 Barnet Park – Downtown Spartanburg

⏰ 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Volunteers will receive breakfast and litter pick-up supplies before teams disperse across the city for our community clean-up efforts. Once the clean-up is completed, we will bring teams back to Barnet Park for free lunch and t-shirts as we thank our participants!

Please note: This event will focus on clean-up efforts within the city. While county volunteers are welcome and encouraged to participate, all designated clean-up routes and streets will be located within the city.

Tomorrow is National Trails Day! Join your friends from SPACE, PAL: Play Advocate Live Well, Keep OneSpartanburg Beautiful, and The Local Hiker and celebrate your favorite local trails by helping with stewardship! Volunteers will meet at the River Birch Trailhead across from Fernwood Pool at 9:00 a.m. Choose your own adventure and pick between: Team litter sweep, Team river sweep, or Team removing invasive plants! Then join us for an after-party at The Local Hiker from 6:00 - 7:30! Trails Day volunteers may receive their first bev on the house! 🌿🍻

This Saturday, June 6th, we will be at the annual Discover Your Watershed event at Lake Cooley from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This a FREE event open to the public. Come learn about the Tyger River Watershed while enjoying the beauty and fun of Lake Cooley. Event attendees will receive a complimentary lunch and can register for free kayak and paddleboard sessions with Spartanburg County Parks. *Free lunch is provided to event attendees while supplies last.

Spartanburg County's Adopt-A-Road program is designed to keep our county's roadways litter free! 🛣

Citizens and businesses have the opportunity to take ownership in the beautification of Spartanburg county. ♻

The contract is free.. we just ask you to do your part. All supplies are provided to you!

♻ Spartanburg County Recycling Centers will be closed Monday, May 25th, and Tuesday, May 26th, in observance of Memorial Day.

Sites will open back up on Wednesday, May 27th!
