Story of the night!
In all seriousness, sometimes when a family joins us. We don’t always know what lead them to sign up for a class. Sometimes they share stories with us. Very often it is to get our perspective on the situation. It’s these stories that can stop us in our tracks. This one sent shivers up my spine.
The story started when the young man admitted that he had “played” with a gun. He admitted that he has always been “gun curious.” This is very common in young boys because of stimuli in their environments. Toy manufacturers start marketing towards young kids and then we wonder why tragedies happen. Without education our kids don’t know what they haven’t been taught yet.
In this situation he found a gun, he picked it up, pointed it towards the wall, and then PRESSED the trigger!! It was very lucky for him and everyone else inside the home. That the gun went “CLICK!” As we talked I could tell that he was still shook up about it.
I said “you only get away with that once!” He understood. Proper storage is critical here. Don’t ever leave it to chance. Teach your kids what not to do if they ever come across an unsecured gun and secure your gun when it’s not on your direct control. The results can last a lifetime without your loved one. Help us help you! We love SAFETY and it shows!!

Hey Friends,
We has not taught a level one class since before Covid.
Would you mind doing us a favor? Spread the word about our absolutely free firearm safety classes with your family, friends, churchs, and other youth groups! There are no fi****ms used for this class. Its focus is teaching little ones to not touch a firearm and to teach guardians how to properly secure their fi****ms. Also, we serve pizza to all in attendance!!

Hey everyone!! If your little one is getting an air rifle for Christmas, don't forget proper eye protection and appropriate back stop. Also don't forget that BB's are known to bounce when hitting hard surfaces. I recommend hanging a large piece of cloth behind your target. The higher end pellet rifles are powerful enough to take small game so make double sure you treat it the same as a firearm.
1. Always treat a firearm as if it is loaded.
2. Don't point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you are ready to fire.
4. Beware of your target and beyond.
