We need your help to remind the South Carolina Arts Commission of their mission to "expand access to the arts and foster creativity for all South Carolinians."

Want your work reviewed by design legends and deployed on streets nationwide? 🖌️✨ The 2026 ArtsVote Open Call is officially live.

We are challenging creatives across the country to reinterpret the ArtsVote logo. Submissions will be reviewed by our curated jury of industry icons Bob Faust, Stefan Sagmeister, Frances Yllana, Debbie Millman, Dr. Crystal Moten, and more — including AFTA’s CEO, Erin Harkey.

Top designs will be selected to hit the streets as national out-of-home wildposting campaigns.

Last weekend our Board of Directors held their retreat in Charleston!

In addition to being the first business meeting of the year, this annual event is an opportunity for board members to experience the arts in local communities throughout the state.

🔵 First, we saw arts integration in action at Memminger Elementary School and Engaging Creative Minds Teaching Artists.
🔵 Then, we got a behind the scenes tour of the historic Dock Street Theatre as Charleston Stage Company prepared for the opening of The Wizard of Oz.
🔵 Finally, board members had free time to explore the Charleston Market and the dozens of local galleries around the French Quarter.

We're proud to be led by a Board of Directors made up of leaders from around the state who each believe in our Mission!

🎉🎉 We finally have a State budget!

Last week the General Assembly sent a budget to the Governor that included $750K in new statewide arts funding!

We're grateful to our elected officials for their continued investment in the arts in South Carolina -- and the results speak for themselves:

🔵 Vibrant communities throughout the state
