History of Gamma Mu Zeta Chapter:
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.-Gamma Mu Zeta Chapter was chartered May 1, 1948 at a recreation center (now known as C.C. Woodson Community Center) in Spartanburg, SC by Soror Metella Maree. For over 70 years, Gamma Mu Zeta and affiliates have dedicated countless hours of service and resources to our community. has a host of national programs to support our mission. Gamma Mu Zeta Chapter actively supports our community through Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) which includes but is not limited to our Elder Care initiative, Adopt-A-School, Adopt-A-Road, Autism Awareness, and Mental Health Awareness. We also actively support March of Dimes and Relay for Life. Through the Get Engaged program, we are able to support civic initiatives in our community which include but are not limited to voter registration, volunteering at the polls, census, partnering with other community organizations, and supporting community social action opportunities that positively impact the lives of others and encourage needed change. Gamma Mu Zeta continues to fully participate in national programs and local community service opportunities. We remain dedicated to continuing to serve our community and to uphold the principles of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
