Georgia Hi-Lo Trail isn’t about the miles or the infrastructure or the economic projections — even though those matter too.
It's about a grandmother having somewhere to take her grandkids outside to play in Sparta. A teenager having a place to safely ride their bike in Guyton. A family having a path to accommodate their stroller for a walk in Sandersville.
The Georgia Hi-Lo Trail will pass through eight counties. The path from Union Point to Tybee Island will cross rolling Piedmont hills, longleaf pine forests, river bottomlands, coastal plain wetlands, and salt marshes. The land along this corridor is genuinely beautiful.
On Earth Day, we just want to say: we're grateful for this place. And we're grateful for every person working to make it more connected, more accessible, and more alive.
We hope you can get outside and celebrate today, wherever you are.
