The Michigan Farm Bureau competition kicked off in September! FFA chapters from across the state took to social media to advocate for agriculture, focusing on this month's topic: Beyond Sensational Claims: Exploring Food Processing and Food Choices!

We are holding an apple pie fundraiser this fall! The pies will be made fresh on November 1st, but they can be frozen if you want to keep them for the holidays!

Today is the last day of September which means it’s the last day of exploring food processing and food choices in the Michigan Farm Bureau’s challenge! Recently, Xavyer, Lilly, and Claire toured Michigan Apple Packers and sat down with the manager, Jim Vanderwilp, to see how our fresh Sparta apples are processed before making it to the grocery store! It might be surprising to see all of the steps used to make sure we have clean and fresh apples available. They also discussed a common myth surrounding fresh apples!

Last weekend, several of our members served the community by helping run the kid tent at Sparta Apple Fest and teaching about animals at Eastown Vet’s Wags for Wellness Event!

Tonight, several of our members represented us in the homecoming parade. We didn’t get everyone on camera, but we had fun tossing candy!
