☀️ Get Ready for a Day of Creativity and Sunshine! 🎨

Looking for the perfect summer activity to wrap up the season? Join Monroe County Local History Room for Art Outdoors! 🌳

Bring the whole family out for an incredible day of creativity, nature, and hands-on fun at the beautiful Wegner Grotto County Park (also known as the "Glass Church"). Whether you are an experienced artist or just want to get a little messy and try something new, this event is for you!

Here is everything you need to know:

📅 Date: Saturday, August 22nd

⏰ Time: Come anytime from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

📍 Location: Wegner Grotto County Park, 7788 Daylight Road, Sparta, WI (Just 15 minutes north of Sparta!)

Attention artists and the art-curious in the Sparta area: come join us tonight at the Sparta Art Club, which is active Wednesday evenings from 6-10 p.m. at Gamers Sanctum on Water Street in Sparta! There’s no set agenda or attendance requirement; come and go whenever works best for you during event hours, bring your own art supplies and desire to create, and spend time with like-minded souls doing the same. Here are a few photos of some of our creations from last week 🎨

Snacking is permitted during Sparta Art Club events. A selection of snacks and beverages is available for purchase at Gamers Sanctum, or you can bring your own if desired (more than one artist has been making weekly visits to J-Mart across the street to stock up for the evening before their 8 p.m. closing time).

Many thanks to Gamers Sanctum for hosting the Sparta Art Club, and to Tabletop Hobbies for their welcome as we gather next to their weekly Hobby Night.

There are a few rules in place to give everyone the best chance of having an enjoyable evening in a welcoming space. We look forward to seeing new faces and new art this week at the Sparta Art Club!

Sparta Art Club: Rules of Conduct
- NO alcohol
- Ages 15 & up (parent &/or guardian needs to stay if they’re under 15).
- We borrow the space. Please be respectful & mindful.
- No oil paints, lacquer thinner, mineral spirits OR sprays. (Anything with a strong scent, please leave at home).
- Please clean up after yourself and respect your space.
- Respect other people’s art supplies if you get to use them.
