Sparta Area Recreation Association “SARA”, short for Sparta Area Recreation Association, is the founding organization for a community dream project that is now becoming a reality.

Situation
▪ Our programs are currently struggling for field space
▪ Existing field space is not adequate for current needs

▪ Organized youth sports have been in Sparta forever
▪ All sports have out grown existing facilities

▪ Sparta Township and the Village of Sparta are in full support of SARA and our vision toward a common goal for the betterment of our community and it's residents. Proposed Property
▪ In the Village & Township of Sparta. Really close to downtown.
▪ In accordance with the Sparta Parks & Recreation Master Plan.
▪ Also aligns directly with the Kent Trails System Master Plan. Socioeconomic Impact
▪ Tournaments will bring over 5000 people per summer
▪ Adult leagues will bring 100+ people per night
▪ Additional people will be in town to enjoy the park
▪ More people in town results in more business revenue
▪ Families will relocate here for our youth programs
▪ Development expands our tax base and school funding
