We did it again! Highway clean-up Hwy 71 from Herald to Imperial. Nine bags collected in just over an hour.

Someone had a bad day… found lots of busted parts from a crash by the I90 overpass.

Sign up NOW to get your favorite volunteer spot in our concession stand.

Jobs include:
Chicken Pit Crew (3/shift) Smokey, sweaty fun.
Concession Stand (4/shift) Selling and Serving food - on the go
Cashier (1/shift) Sitting down job
Dishwasher (1/shift) Can mostly be done sitting down

Volunteers get 50% off food and FREE water (we want you to stay hydrated)!

Yes, you can volunteer even if you aren't a Lion. Yes, you can volunteer if you are a member of another Lions Club. YES, we will teach you everything you need to know*.

*Sometimes one person will tell you one thing and another person will tell you a different thing, in that case you get to do whatever you want. Did we mention FREE water?

Sparta Lions Club is cooking dinner at Sparta United Methodist Church-Sparta, WI tonight. We are planning for 45 people so come on down. Serving starts at 5:00 p.m.

It's St. Patrick's Day so, of course, we are serving corned beef. Naturally, there will be potatoes. For sure you'll be getting cabbage.

Our "We Couldn't Have Done It Without You" Party on Tuesday was a BLAST! Thanks to all who attended.

It was particularly meaningful to connect the folks who support Sparta Lions Club by volunteering and/or buying food at Sparta Butterfest, Sparta Kriskindlmarkt, SACS Walk/Rally, etc. with representatives from the groups to which we make financial contributions. It is one thing to hear us say that 100% of our profits get donated, quite another to watch the parade of checks!

We are grateful to John Gessner from Monroe County Herald for attending and look forward to reading his article!

Sparta Butterfest is coming up in just over 3 months and Sparta Lions Club is looking to add some muscle to our “team” of Charcoal Chicken wranglers. Interested?
You do NOT need:
1. To join the Lions Club to volunteer
2. To be a grill master (or even an amateur)

You do need:
1. To like roasted meat
2. To like the smell of smoke on your clothes

100% of the profit* gets donated. Most is used right here in Sparta (Chatty Kathy All-Abilities Playground is one example), some goes to statewide Lions programs (like Wisconsin Lions Camp for youth and adults with disabilities) and a bit to other Lions initiatives in the United States and globally.

*Yes, you read that right, 100%!
