👑 ROYALTY OF THE COURT Pickleball Tournament 👑

The@SpartaAreaPickleballAssociation is looking for the next kings and queens of the courts! They have put together a fast-paced, randomized event designed to test players' adaptability and endurance.

Event Details

Date: September 12th, 2026

Time: 12:00 PM

Location: Sparta Outdoor Courts

Entry: Free for SAPA Members (If you are unsure of your membership status, reach out to Susan at 608-738-8405)

Capacity: Limited to 32 players max

How They Are Running the Tournament

Random Draw: To ensure fairness and complete randomness, every player will draw a slip of paper with a starting court number and a letter (A or B) to determine their initial team.

Timed Matches: Every game will be played on a strict 7-minute timer.

The Shuffle: Once the 7 minutes are up, the winning team moves up a court but splits up. The losing team moves down a court and splits up.

The Climb: They have scheduled 12 games in total. This means even players who draw Court 8 at the very beginning have a chance to fight their way to the top.

The Goal: Your objective is to make it to Court 1 and be on the winning team when the 12th game finishes.

Secure your spot before the 32 slots fill up by registering on GPN:

Get ready for the ultimate autumn celebration, Sparta! 🍂🎃

Grab your coziest flannels, round up your friends, and bring the whole family down to Water Street on October 3rd, 2026, from 9 AM to 3 PM for the highly anticipated Area Chamber of Commerce s Fall Fest! This is an absolute must-attend community event and the perfect weekend excuse to get out in the crisp autumn air. Nothing beats the atmosphere of our vibrant downtown coming alive with the brilliant colors of the season, and it is the absolute best opportunity of the year to support our incredibly talented local vendors. Stroll through the streets to discover unique handmade crafts, rustic decor, and local goods before following the mouth-watering aromas over to Food Truck Alley to indulge in a spectacular seasonal feast.

The entire day is absolutely packed shoulder-to-shoulder with engaging, family-friendly activities you will not want to miss! We are talking toe-tapping live music setting the perfect festive soundtrack as you explore, alongside an epic, messy, and hilarious pie-eating contest. The kids are guaranteed to be endlessly entertained with dedicated kids' games, an adorable petting zoo, talented balloon artists, and caricature artists ready to capture those goofy family memories. You also cannot leave without testing your aim with a few rounds of exciting pumpkin bowling!

For a true touch of autumn magic, make sure to catch one of the festive wagon rides taking you straight over to Sparta Floral & Greenhouses. Once there, you can dive right into their lively pumpkin painting stations to craft your very own harvest masterpiece.

The daytime festivities are truly just the beginning. The fun keeps rolling right into the evening, so be sure to head over to Evans Bosshard Park starting at 5 PM! We are keeping the cozy community vibes going strong with the legendary Chili Cook-Off—perfect for warming up as the sun sets—followed by a relaxing, community-voted movie night under the beautiful autumn stars.

Mark your calendars, tag your festival buddies in the comments below, and get ready to celebrate everything we love about fall in Sparta

It’s time to trade Friday night couch sessions for cold bleachers and hot chocolate!

The Sparta Football team is gearing up for a killer 2026 season, and they need the entire town out there cheering them on. They have been putting in the sweat all summer so they can thoroughly humble the competition this fall.🏈

Take a look at the full schedule for Varsity, JV, and JV2 in the attached file, and be sure to mark the calendar for these massive Varsity home events:

Sept 4 vs. Logan: Youth Night (Bring the loud, sugar-fueled kids!)

Sept 11 vs. Holmen: Military/First Responder Night

Sept 25 vs. Central: Senior/Parent Night (Bring tissues for the parents)

Oct 9 vs. Reedsburg: Homecoming (Time to squeeze into those old letterman jackets that mysteriously shrank over the years)

Whether they are defending the home turf or taking the long bus ride to Baraboo, get out there and give them some proper hometown support. Go pack those stands, lose your voice yelling, and watch them light up the scoreboard! 🏈💪

Get ready for a spooktacular time in Sparta!

Calling all local businesses! The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce is brewing up something special for our annual Sparta Business Trick or Treating event. This is a fantastic, community-driven evening full of fun, and we want your business on the map.

Update: All of our vendor huts are officially BOOKED!🔥

But do not park your broomsticks 🧹 just yet! We are still calling on all Downtown Sparta & Sparta local businesses to sign up as storefront stops. 🎯 While the huts are full, opening your own doors to the community is the perfect opportunity to connect with families, show off your Sparta spirit, and support local fun right from your shop.🎉

For our trick-or-treaters 🎃 exploring beyond the main square, visiting your shop is absolutely worth the extra broom mileage. Creep a little further—the treats are worth it! We want to see stops at Sparta local businesses all through the town, making every corner of our community come alive with Halloween magic.🎱

Plus, this year we are hosting a Hut and Storefront Decorating Contest!🏆 Go all out with your spooky 👹 decor because the community gets to vote for their favorite business. Whether you are transforming your lobby into a haunted mansion or adding a few friendly ghosts to your windows, let your creativity shine.

Ready to join the fun and be an official stop? ⛔ Since the huts are full, only storefront stops are left to sign up for—don't miss out! Follow the link to register
