🍕 Pizza night for a great cause! 🍕

Mark your calendars! On Tuesday, May 12, we’re teaming up with Pizza Hut to support Sparta Boy Scout Troop 332. It’s the perfect excuse to skip cooking and enjoy some delicious pizza!

🧭🚨 The troop had an amazing time at the Orienteering & Search and Rescue weekend with EZSquad!

We learned a lot and earned our Search and Rescue certificates. Highly recommend this course if you get the chance!

Thank you to our leaders Kristy Hall, Steven Dapps Chappell and Chandra Adams for making it happen!

PS. The Scouts learned that Kristy might know somethings.

Oh dear! Oh dear! We missed your food—
But please don’t think we’re being rude!
We’re human folks, we try our best,
But sometimes cans get overlooked in all the quest!

If bags were out or boxes too,
And somehow we just never knew,
Don’t fret, don’t fuss, don’t feel dismayed—
Your kindness still can lend its aid!

Just gather up the goods you’ve got,
A can, a box, a little or lot,
And take them with a friendly cheer
To The Local Pantry, far or near!

So thank you, thank you, through and through—
For thinking of the Scouts who came to you!
And for helping neighbors, near and far,
You’re truly awesome—yes you are!

This Tuesday (11/18) is the Sparta Boy Scout Troop Pizza Hut Fundraiser.

Use coupon code S9 when ordering online, or just tell them “Sparta Boy Scouts” in person or over the phone.

Take the night off from cooking and support a great local youth organization at the same time! 💙🧭

Scouting for Food – Saturday, November 22, 2025

Please have your food donations out by 8:00 AM. Make sure its visible from the street and marked for scouts.

Didn’t get your Scouting for Food bag this year? It may have blown away, the knot may not have held, or our volunteers may have had to get creative and cut it loose.

No worries at all! If you didn’t receive a bag—or if you’d like to donate more than one—you can use any bag, box, or tote. Just place your items on your porch by 8 AM on Saturday, November 22.

Please remember not to donate items from the Y2K era, expired food, or cereals with possible weevils, as these can cause food pantries to dispose of more food.

Our Scouts will be out helping stock local food pantries, and every item helps a family in need. Thank you for supporting Scouting and our community! 🥫💛

Didn’t get your Scouting for Food bag today? Maybe it blew away in the wind… We have a team of volunteers putting them out and possibly the knot didn’t hold or maybe they got creative and toubhad to cut the bag off. Perplexed on what to do? Worried about not getting a bag or maybe you wanted two bags, maybe more??? Well fear knot my friends, Scouting for Food doesn’t mind if you use a different bag, a box, a tote, or just set it out on your porch next weekend 11/22/25 by 8am. Please do not leave canned goods you kept from Y2K. Expired cereals and things like that may have weavels which will spread causing food pantries to have to dispose of more food.
