JD Olson Memorial Foundation The JD Olson Memorial Foundation supports local communities through grants and scholarships.

On August 25, 2022, James-Dean “JD” Olson was tragically lost in an automobile accident, the day before the start of his junior year. JD was a well-rounded and very special young man who touched many people. He was a three-sport athlete for Sparta Senior High School, participating in football, basketball, and baseball, as well as being a farm kid and avid outdoorsman. His influence and impact as a friend, teammate and student were evident through the outpouring of love and support that has been shown to his family. As a result of the overwhelming generosity, a foundation was formed to honor JDs legacy and to “pay it forward”. The JD Olson Memorial Foundation is a local charity that was established to support local communities through grants and scholarships.

Thank you to all that supported the JD Olson Memorial Foundation Golf Outing and Fundraiser yesterday!! It brings tears to our eyes when thinking of the heartbreaking beauty of the day yesterday. The reason why this outing exists is soul crushing and heartbreaking BUT to see a community of people come together to help carry on an amazing young man's legacy is absolutely beautiful. Four years of this day and it gets bigger every year. The money that is raised supports the youth of the community....ALL IN JD'S NAME. The laughs, fun and memories made each year....ALL IN JD'S NAME. The amount of people that volunteer to work so this day is an amazing success...ALL IN JD'S NAME. We become more in awe every year. Yesterday was a reminder of how amazing our community is. So, THANK YOU for everything.

We will be sharing more information and photos from yesterday shortly, but today is a much needed day of rest and to reflect on what an amazing day honoring JD.
