JD Olson Memorial Foundation The JD Olson Memorial Foundation supports local communities through grants and scholarships.

On August 25, 2022, James-Dean “JD” Olson was tragically lost in an automobile accident, the day before the start of his junior year. JD was a well-rounded and very special young man who touched many people. He was a three-sport athlete for Sparta Senior High School, participating in football, basketball, and baseball, as well as being a farm kid and avid outdoorsman. His influence and impact as a

friend, teammate and student were evident through the outpouring of love and support that has been shown to his family. As a result of the overwhelming generosity, a foundation was formed to honor JDs legacy and to “pay it forward”. The JD Olson Memorial Foundation is a local charity that was established to support local communities through grants and scholarships.
