🔥 Local 26 Strong!

🔥Sheet Metal Workers Local 26 was proud to sponsor the Reno Tahoe Odyssey Relay — a grueling 178-mile team race that truly tested endurance, grit, and teamwork.

💪Twelve of our members took on the challenge, running day and night starting in Verdi, pushing through Truckee, around South Lake Tahoe, into Carson City and Virginia City, and finishing strong at the J Resort in downtown Reno.

At the Virginia City checkpoint, Business Representative Sean O’Keefe and Organizer Shane Henderson were there supporting the team with a sponsorship table as Brother Anthony Carrillo powered in to hand off to Brother Cooper Henderson, who carried it down the hill toward Reno. The final push came from Brother Aron Cordova, bringing it home across the finish line! 🏁

This team showed what Local 26 is all about—strength, determination, and brotherhood.👏 Congratulations to our Local 26 team for representing us with pride!

We had a great time connecting with fans and community members at our table, sharing information about our union, our trade, and the opportunities we provide.A special highlight of the day was our Business Representative, Sean O’Keefe, throwing out the first pitch. It was an incredible moment as he was recognized over the loudspeaker for his more than 20 years of dedicated membership in Local 26 and his continued commitment to our union.Thank you to the Wolf Pack for the opportunity to be part of such a great event—we’re proud to stand behind our community both on and off the field!

We had an amazing time this Saturday at the University of Nevada, Reno women’s softball game as SMART Local 26 proudly sponsored the event!A huge shoutout to our Women’s Committee Chair, Charlene Harris, for throwing out the first pitch—what a great moment to represent our union on the field. ⚾👏Throughout the game, Sheet Metal Workers Local 26 was recognized over the loudspeakers and on the big screen as event sponsors, and we were proud to be there connecting with the community. Our table was busy all day with banners up, stickers handed out, and great conversations about the opportunities and strength of our union.Thank you to everyone who stopped by and showed support. We’re proud to stand behind women in sports and continue building strong community connections!
