“OK...Time to talk wargaming face-to-face in Carson City like it was at the old Conestoga Drive office. And, doing it even better before Covid. How many of you would show up even a couple of times a month if I get about a 1,000 sq. ft. to play at? There would be a couple of you I would give keys to. And, you would be able to leave games setup at an office or warehouse in Carson City...Who's for it?”

Greg Allen tried posting on this page, but had some technical difficulties. In any case, I quoted his comment above. Gerardo Bolaños are you out there? What do you folks think about restarting some ftf wargaming in the Reno - Carson City area? Speak up.

The Gauntlet wargaming convention in Santa Clara scheduled for Martin Luther King weekend has been canceled. Poor ticket sales and Covid concerns were cited as causes.

This is a wargame only convention that runs on MLK Weekend Jan 14-17 in Santa Clara. Mark Ruggiero is the organizer for the event. Game submissions are open, with discounts for game submitters.

Mark Ruggiero, the wargames organizer from Pacificon, is putting together a wargames only convention in Santa Clara, CA on MLK weekend January 15-17, 2022.

Where: Santa Clara Marriott $139 night
Weekend pass: $80

Focus will be wargames - miniatures, board wargames. That’s it, no RPG, etc.

Two flea markets - one Saturday night, and one Monday morning.
For early arrivals on Friday, there will be a whisky and wine event that evening. There will be a vendor hall. GM’s will get comps to spend in the vendor hall.
More details to follow but hoping you make a plan to come. If this is successful the plan is to build it into an annual event.
