Ormaas, President and Founder of Project Sweet Dreams and here's our story. Project Sweet Dreams began in 2014 as a community outreach project for my martial arts training. As a CASA volunteer, I knew that the children at Kids Kottage, Reno's emergency children's shelter, were in need of clothes for the children they serve. I decided to focus on pajamas because they are cozy and can make kids feel
safe and warm, even in the most difficult of times. Since I say "Sweet Dreams, sweet love" to my kids every night at bedtime, Project Sweet Dreams was the perfect name! With the amazing support of the local community, Project Sweet Dreams donated 235 pairs of pajamas to Kids Kottage in 2014 and I discovered that this had become more than a belt requirement--it was my new passion! In 2015, Project Sweet Dreams donated nearly 500 pairs of pajamas to Kids Kottage and I made the decision to incorporate into a non-profit organization so that we can have an even bigger impact in our community. Our mission is that all children have pajamas so they can have a good night's sleep filled with sweet dreams. In order to do that, we are incredibly proud to be working with additional organizations that serve children in need in Northern Nevada. We are looking for local members of the community that want to help make a difference for these wonderful children. Project Sweet Dreams is an organization that believes those that temporarily have more should give to those that temporarily have less and that includes getting our own children involved in philanthropy at a very young age. Project Sweet Dreams has become a passion for my whole family and we hope that you will join us on our mission. We will graciously accept donations of new pajamas in all sizes (newborn through adult) and all financial contributions will be used to further our mission of keeping Nevada’s kids cozy. Thank you for your support! With Gratitude,
Alison M.
