Hālau O Kawaiolaakāne Hālau O Kawaiolaakāne of Sparks, Nevada was founded on July 7, 2012 by Kumu Kawaiola Deguilmo of Pāʻia, Maui. Aloha kākou!

The mission of this Hālau is to perpetuate the traditions of our kūpuna through chant, dance, song, and language while trying to maintain the authenticity of our Hawaiian culture. For information on enrollment or any other inquiries please feel free to contact Kumu Kawaiola at [email protected].

Aloha! Hālau O Kawaiolaakāne is excited to announce our upcoming Puka 'ike kumu. Please SAVE THE DATE, Saturday, May 3rd at noon at TMCC (in conjunction with Asian Pacific Island month). The flyer is attached....it's a FREE event, open to the public and great for families. We look forward to seeing you there for traditional Hawaiian hula, oli, and music. Also, we'd like to promote the event to the community to share our aloha and promote the Hawaiian culture, so please share the flyer and info on your personal fb pages, at work or places of business, etc. Mahalo nui!

Hālau O Kawaiolaakāne is having a fundraiser - Hawaiian BBQ Plate Lunch sale for just $10. It's for Sunday, March 9th, pick up lunches at NNCIL next to Sparks Florist on Pyramid. Members have tickets for sale now. Please share to spread the work about the event. Mahalo for supporting our Hālau.
