It’s been almost three years since I’ve posted! But I am back!

I just sent off a tall laundry basket full of Blankies and burp cloths to be donated to the NICU at Renown. A good friend who’s adorable little brand spanking new grandson is currently spending some time took is taking them in for us!! I’ve been holding on and adding to the pile since 2020, but it feels so good to get them out to be used by the tiniest humans!! ❤️❤️❤️

I am sewing face masks tonight! They’re pretty easy and anyone with a machine can help out! It just requires 2 6x9 inches pieces of fabric, 7” of elastic (we are using elastic headbands) and about 10 mins of time! If you’re making masks too, show me in the comments! Meet Mackenzie! She was just crowned Miss Reno-Sparks Outstanding Teen! This year I’m starting a new journey as her Princess and will be heading down to Miss Nevada in June! Her platform is all about Volunteering and Community Service! I look forward to teaching her about making Baby Blankies to donate! Congratulations Mackenzie!!

Annabella just spent the last week in Dallas,TX at the International Cinderella Scholarship Pageant! She did amazing, made new friends, was complimented on being a sweet and caring contestant, and had the time of her life! She even walked away with a 1st Alternate to the Mini Miss Photogenic title! 💙👑💙
I’m thinking we need to find some blankie material with crowns on them next! 😉

I’m so excited that we were able to drop off 42 Blankies to the Renown Neonatal Intensive Care Unit! Everyone meet Makenzie, my Nevada State Cinderella Royalty Woman! She took me shopping last week to pick out flannel and swaddling cloth for more Baby Goo Blankies! She’s a great example of showing kindness and doing good things for other people! And of course we took Sara with us too! 💙👑💙

It’s been awhile since we’ve made blankies because our lives got a little turned upside down this spring. Baby Goo’s (Annabella) Papa found himself in the adult ICU down in Las Vegas. Luckily we were down visiting when it all happened so we were able to help Meemaw and check in on Papa everyday. Papa has been back home now for a month and is recovering well!
Our extended Spring Break in Vegas, a visit at Easter, all while being in the middle of dance team and the end of the school year took our blankie making time.
Blessings came to Annabella a little over a week ago as she competed and won in her division at the Nevada State Cinderella Scholarship Pageant! So now that it’s summer, we have a week off from dance and 17 days until we leave for Cinderella Internationals, WE ARE MAKING MORE BLANKIES!!! We have 44 flannel Blankies and 5 swaddles cut and ready to sew!!! Our goal is a delivery before we head out to Dallas!!
