Commanders, Comrades and Patriots,
Attached are two flyers announcing a costume or dress up contest at the Patriotic Celebration at the National Convention in Reno, Nevada on Tuesday July 28, 2026.
The Chief has asked for a Crowd Karaoke where she has selected eight (8) American Rock & Roll/Country/Pop songs for all attendees to sing along with her to celebrate 126 years of the VFW and 250 Years of the United States of America.
We are also having a costume contest in three areas, Best Dressed Patriotic Group (Think dancing dinosaur’s in RWB), Best decorated Scooter (Not you Jeff from Oklahoma as I know your nickname is Scooter) and last a Veteran & Spouse/Partner award. You still have plenty of time to shop for or order online for your costume and decorations. I bought a new fancy vest just for the occasion.
