Apologies for the delay in this update, but the pool was successfully refilled and cleared to open yesterday (Wednesday) morning. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you enjoy the rest of the swim season.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The pool is currently closed while we preform a partial drain & refill. We'll update this post once it reopens.

To disinfect the pool water, we use chlorine tablets. Cyanuric acid is added to these tablets to help protect the chlorine from the sun's UV rays. However, over the summer the level of this acid builds up to a point that it becomes a detriment to the chlorine, making it slower acting to kill bacteria and micro-organisms, and prevent water cloudiness and algae. At this point, we have to replace the existing pool water with fresh water, as there are no other means of reducing the cyanuric acid in pool water.

The water is starting to look clearer, so it has been reopened. Please remember to shower off before getting in the pool!
---------------------------------------------------------------
The pool’s chemical levels tested out of balance this morning during a check, so the pool will be closed for a few hours to give the reagents a chance to bring the chlorine level up.

Josh and Janalee Anderson's cat "Peaches" went missing from their home Sunday evening/Monday morning. He's an indoor cat, so it's possible he got into a garage or shed. Peaches has been chipped and has a collar with contact info. If you spot him, please give the Anderson's a call at 801-318-8059.

Hopefully you've enjoyed the bonus summer weather and had a chance to get in some extra swim time. With the cold weather now approaching, it is time to close & winterize the pool. See you next Spring!

09/17/2024

Due to the inclement weather, the pool will be closed Tuesday, September 17th. It will reopen Wednesday, and we anticipate it staying open through September (depending on the weather).

We have not been able to send out the dues letter for the year because we have not received enough ballots for the board to be able to perform our duties.

If you need a ballot, please let us know and we'll get you one!!!

The pool has reopened as of this morning (Thursday, August 15). Thank you for your patience while we preformed this necessary maintenance.

UPDATE: The problem has been identified and a part has been ordered. A temporary solution has been found in the meantime, so the pool is now OPEN. Thank you for your patience.

------------------------------------------------------------
Tonight during lock-up, a leak in the UV filter in the pump room was discovered. In consultation with our pool service professional, it was decided to shut down the pump out of caution until the situation can be assessed Monday morning. As such, the pool will be temporarily closed for repairs until further notice.

We'll update here once we have additional details.

Happy Memorial Day! We're pleased to announce that our pool is now OPEN.

Please take a moment and review the pool rules with your family (they are posted at the pool, in a post below, and a PDF will be emailed to you if we have your email address).

Remember that the pool belongs to everyone in the HOA, so please do your part to help take care of it. If you see someone causing damage, say something to them.

Note, the pool is for use by residents of Mountain Park Estates and their accompanied guests. To help maintain healthy swimming water and lower our cleaning costs, please shower before entering the pool.

Persons 13 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult (18+). Please, for your safety no solo swimming; bring a buddy.

We're working on getting the last things wrapped up to open the pool this year.

The new toilet has been installed, can lights replaced, bulbs in the pool fixed and tile replaced. We're working on fixing the cover and getting required signage.

We still need ballots! We don't have enough votes for the board to be able to move forward with our responsibilities. If you need another ballot, please let someone on the board know and we can either drop off a paper copy or email you a new one to print.

Thanks!
