Today, we’re honored to celebrate Carol’s Day of Caring. 💙

Carol and her family have been a huge part of Tabitha’s Way since the very beginning, helping shape the spirit of service, compassion, and generosity that continues to guide our work today.

Although Carol is deeply missed, her legacy lives on every day within our pantries—through the incredible volunteers who give their time, through neighbors helping neighbors, and through every interaction we are privileged to have with the individuals and families we serve.

In Carol’s honor, we invite you to make the world a little brighter today through a simple act of kindness. Whether it’s helping a neighbor, volunteering, offering an encouraging word, or giving to someone in need, every act of caring makes a difference.

We’re grateful to the Daily Herald for highlighting the impact of the Light the World Giving Machines and the many donors and volunteers helping local children prepare for school. 🎒✏️

This year, Tabitha’s Way will distribute 3,700 backpacks filled with school supplies to children across Utah County—including 1,200 at our Gear Up for School event in Spanish Fork.

A heartfelt thank-you to McWane Ductile for raising $2,000 for Tabitha’s Way through its annual Charity Golf Tournament!

McWane Ductile has supported our mission for more than 12 years through donations, food and supply drives, volunteer service, and a continued commitment to helping local families. This generous gift will help provide nutritious food to neighbors facing hunger across Utah County.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated in the tournament and to the entire McWane Ductile team for being such an extraordinary community partner. Together, we are making a lasting difference!

🎒 Volunteers Needed for Gear Up for School!

Help us prepare local children for a successful school year by volunteering at our Gear Up for School event on Saturday, August 1, at Landmark High School in Spanish Fork.

Volunteers are needed from 8:00–11:30 a.m. to help welcome families, distribute backpacks and school supplies, and support event activities.

We especially need bilingual volunteers who speak both Spanish and English to help us better serve families attending the event.

🎒 Gear Up for School is coming to Spanish Fork!

Join us on Saturday, August 1, from 9:00–11:00 a.m. at Landmark High School for a free back-to-school event for local families.

Each school-aged child will receive a FREE backpack filled with school supplies. Additional free resources will also be available during the event.

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear friend, Katrina Long, along with her beloved husband and their three sons. Our hearts are broken for their precious daughter, who now faces an unimaginable journey, and we pray she feels surrounded by God’s love and the support of her community.

Katrina was a cherished member of the Tabitha’s Way family. She faithfully volunteered at our Spanish Fork pantry, serving with a joyful heart and an unwavering commitment to helping others. She didn’t just give of her own time—she inspired those around her to serve as well, even bringing her entire staff to volunteer alongside her.

In a testament to the kind of person she was, Katrina spent one of her final days doing what she loved most: serving others. She volunteered at the pantry on Thursday, the day before this heartbreaking tragedy.

Katrina led by quiet example. She showed us that kindness is contagious, compassion changes lives, and that the greatest impact we can make is often found in simple acts of service. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched and in the spirit of generosity she inspired in so many.

Please join us in praying for Katrina’s daughter and for all of the extended family and friends who are grieving this tremendous loss. We will forever be grateful for the privilege of knowing Katrina and serving alongside her.

Robert and Bliss Sawyer are officially on the road! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Their incredible 4,000-mile bicycle journey across the United States is well underway as they ride to raise hope, awareness, and support for families served by Tabitha’s Way Local Food Pantry and Habitat for Humanity.

Every mile they ride is a reminder that hope can travel a long way — and that small acts of determination, generosity, and kindness can make a lasting difference for families in need.
