This Saturday, a training exercise was conducted with the Utah County Sheriff's office, Search and Rescue, Provo Airport and numerous other EMS and first response agencies. It's amazing to see all of these organizations come together and train for incidents we all hope will never happen. Training like this is extremely valuable and gives all of us the skills we need to keep Utah County safe. We are honored to be asked to participate in training like this and are grateful to the organizers for allowing us to participate.

After more than 35 years, the Utah County Sheriff's Communication Auxiliary Team (S C.A.T.) is changing its name. While the main focus of the team hasn't changed, the scope of our capabilities and responsibilities has. We're tasked with supporting the Sheriff's office, the agencies and communities of Utah county in not only communications but many aspects of emergency preparedness, support and response. At the suggestion of the emergency services division and the full support of the sheriff's office we've changed our name to the Emergency Communications and Support team. (E.C.S. team). Want to know more about the team and what we do? Follow this page and add your questions in the comments.

Today we take pause to remember the men and women who tragically lost their lives on that fateful September morning at the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington DC, and on flight United 93 in Pennsylvania. May we always keep them in our memory.
