Training in the cold to run in a hot/humid climate? Does that make sense? These guys think so. Not just running by themselves. They will be pushing people in wheelchairs on unpaved terrain in Sierra Leone.

This little boy is from a village just outside the city of Makeni, Sierra Leone. He was suffering in severe pain from a condition called hydrocele, but his family had no resources to get him the medical treatment he needed. Thanks to one of our partner churches, Lighthouse Christian Center in Puyallup, Washington he has now received the medical treatment he so desperately needed, and is healed and pain free!

This sweet little girl is named Isatu. She is completely blind in one eye, and 90% blind in the other eye. A simple cataract surgery could help significantly restore her vision, but she has not had the means to be able to have this procedure done, which has also caused her to not be able to go to school and be educated. Thanks to one of our donors whose heart of compassion has gone out to her, she has been enrolled in a school for visually impaired children this school year, and she will also now be having surgery done in the next week to restore her vision. Thank you so much to our donor who has made this possible! Your support is literally changing Isatu’s life, and is so appreciated.

Remember that the Holy Spirit is not controlled by human beings. When Nicodemus came to the Lord at night, Jesus told him, “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit” (John 3:8). The Holy Spirit goes where He wants to go and does what He wants to do. He gives miracles where He chooses. He provides healing of body, soul and mind. He is available to all who seek Him in sincere humility. If you belong to Jesus Christ, access to the ministry of the Holy Spirit is part of your spiritual DNA.

This should affect the way you pray. Maybe you can relate to this, but when I first started praying for people to be healed, I sometimes prayed an extra long time. I was not in a hurry to get to “Amen” because I was afraid they would say, “I really don’t feel any different.” Then I discovered prayer is not powerful because of the one doing the praying. Prayer is powerful because of the One who is in us and the authority He has given us. I do not have to have confidence in myself. My confidence is in Him. And often it is the case that my simplest prayers get the best results.

The same is true for you. As was told to the apostle Paul, “My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). God is strong in us who are weak. That’s the Gospel.

"Oh Lord, awaken Your Church around the world to be courageous demonstrators of Your love, life, freedom and miracle working power! From shore to shore, sea to sea, mountain to valley -- flood the nations of this world with the love of Your Son!"

A fire started in some fields in Rogbom and spread to the school we work with in Sierra Leone. Praise The Lord no one was hurt--the fire was late in the day after everyone had gone home. We have a new school building under construction and have finished the outer core and roof. Our goal was to complete the building for the 2020-21 school year. Now we need to complete the school immediately due to the fire. Please join us in getting the school finished for the 182 children attending it. We need $6000 to finish to finish the school. Please visit our web for the donation links. www.cwelint.org Thank you. Please share this post on your page.

Why We Do What We Do

At the very heart of all that we do are the words of our Savior Jesus Christ found in Matthew 25:35-36, “For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me.” With these words Jesus was highlighting the various human needs that exist in people across the world, and He was letting us know that He cares deeply for them. He was also letting us know that their needs should matter to those of us who are His followers just as they do to Him, and that we should be proactive in helping to meet those needs. Every person in need is precious in His sight, so much so that if we extend care and compassion to them, He said that it’s just like we are doing it to Him. This is why we do what we do. Whether it’s providing wells for clean water, medical care to people who are wounded or hurting, reaching out to people in prison, building churches and/or schools, or providing the opportunity for people to partner with us in sponsoring pastors, teachers, or children in need, we realize that the way we treat others is the way we are treating Jesus. We believe that He wants to extend His heart and hands through us to others in need, and we want to make ourselves available to Him for that purpose. It’s why we do what we do. If you would like to join us in that effort in any way, please let us know. We would value your partnership!
