The SRC Basketball Committee would like to take a minute to thank every single player, parent, and coach for an incredible season in both our in-town and travel programs! Without all of you, this program most definitely would not be what it is. Your time, effort, and support make SRC Basketball such a special community.

We are so proud of all of our teams and the way they represented SRC this season! From hard work at practices to teamwork and sportsmanship on the court, it has been amazing to watch our players grow and compete.

We hope every kid who signed up to play had a fantastic season and, most importantly, had a ton of fun with their teams!

To the players who are aging out of our program, we wish you the very best of luck in your basketball futures. We are proud of you and hope to see you on the SRS court!

LET'S GO RAMS!

Shout out for our 5/6 girls๐ŸŽค:

โ€œThe girls have improved so much this season. They are always willing to learn and try new things. This year we tried a different defense that can be tough, but they worked hard and were able to master it.๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸปThey gave their oppenents a tough time every game!

On offense they embody the word team. They are always looking for each other and the best shot option. And they have gotten so much better at running the fast break. Lots of points scored looking for their teammates!

We canโ€™t wait until next season!๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€๐ŸŒŸโ€

Letโ€™s hear it for our 3/4 Girls basketball team! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€

What a season it has been for this group! At the beginning of the year, we werenโ€™t even sure we would have enough girls to make a team. Fast forward to today, and they ended up with 12 amazing players who showed up week after week ready to learn, work hard, and support one another๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

โ€œThe growth from the first practice to now has been incredible to watch. All that effort paid off as the girls earned their first win of the season in the end of season tournament, and it couldnโ€™t have been more deserved! The coaches couldnโ€™t be prouder of this teamโ€”not just for the win, but for the resilience, teamwork, and positive attitudes they brought all season long. This group truly showed what it means to stick together, keep improving, and never give up!โ€

-Coaches Mike B. & Josh M.

Way to go, girls & best of luck in your tournament finals tomorrow!!!๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’š

Heres a shout out for another one of our 3/4 Boys teams!!
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ€

โ€œThese boys have really grown into more than just a team โ€” theyโ€™ve become like brothers on and off the court. They finished the regular season with an impressive 11โ€“3 record and kicked off the tournament with a big win! Now theyโ€™re headed to the semi-finals tomorrow night!โ€

-Coach John J.

Letโ€™s wish them the best of luck as they keep the momentum going! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ”ฅ

Letโ€™s hear it for another one of our 7/8 Boys teams!

๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’ช

Hereโ€™s what Coach Jess had to say:

โ€œItโ€™s hard to believe this was their last game โ€” it goes by so fast! Over the years these kids have played together, they truly feel like siblings out on the court. They know each otherโ€™s strengths, whoโ€™s shifting where, and exactly where their teammate will be. Theyโ€™ve all grown so tall and improved so much. This season the focus was different โ€” they really pushed themselves, and it showed. Coach Pat and I are so proud of all theyโ€™ve accomplished and wish them well up at SRS!โ€

We love seeing teams grow together like this. Best of luck at SRS, boys โ€” we canโ€™t wait to see whatโ€™s next for you!

Spotlightโ€™s on one of our 7/8 Boys teams next, hereโ€™s what Head Coach Gregg had to say:

โ€œIt has truly been a pleasure for Coach Bob, Coach Evan, and me to work with this group of young men this season. Weโ€™ve watched them grow so much โ€” both physically and mentally โ€” and we couldnโ€™t be more proud of their effort and resilience.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

As an all-7th grade team competing in a combined 7th and 8th grade division, we faced some tough competition (that one year difference is no joke!). But these boys never backed down. They played hard, supported one another, and always gave their best.

We had a lot of fun, earned some great wins, and built special bonds along the way. Although our season ended in the first round of the playoffs, it certainly wasnโ€™t from a lack of effort โ€” they left it all on the court every single game.

Weโ€™re so proud of this team and hope to see them all back next season! ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ‘โ€

Up next is one of our 3/4 boys teams!

Coach Gregg, Coach Chris, and Coach Bob have done an incredible job preparing these boys for their VERY FIRST travel season together. From day one, theyโ€™ve been teaching them what hard work, dedication, and true teamwork can accomplish โ€” and itโ€™s paying off!

For this being their first season playing together, they are more than holding their own. Theyโ€™ve battled their way into the second round of the end of season tournament and are showing everyone what theyโ€™re made of!๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ€

Tomorrow night, they take on PVCA with a spot in the championship round on the line!

Letโ€™s all wish these boys the best of luck on their big game!
