⚕️Last Friday marked a historic Recognition Session at the HOSA 50th Anniversary ILC in Indianapolis. We had the distinct privilege of hosting a Fireside Surgeons General Chat featuring 14th Surgeon General Dr. Antonia Novello (the first woman and first Hispanic person to serve in the role), 20th Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams, and Current Deputy Surgeon General RADM Paul Jung.

It was a riveting discussion that went far beyond standard career advice. These esteemed leaders shared their personal, unfiltered journeys to the highest levels of public health, offering our attending Future Health Professionals a masterclass in resilience, leadership, and service.

The session closed with a powerful 10-point roadmap for success by Dr. Novello. A few standout principles to take into the week ahead:
📌 On Integrity: "Nothing is worth the cost of your integrity, your reputation, or your self-respect."
📌 On Ambition: "The greatest danger for most of us is that not our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it."
📌 On Authenticity: "Never lose your sense of who you really are even when others believe that they know you better than yourself."

AARP Workshops, open to advisors, chaperones, and parents, kick off TODAY (Tuesday, June 16th) at 2:00 PM. These powerhouse sessions will run throughout Wed-Fri in Meeting Room 205.

The Advisor Hospitality Room is available whenever you need to unplug and reset. Drop by Meeting Room 204 (ICC) between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM to catch your breath, check emails, or just relax.

🔵 Come Prepared: Review the official ILC program on HOSA.org. Be sure to pack your essentials, including professional dress, chapter gear, and chargers.
🔵 Step Out of Your Comfort Zone: Take the leap and attend exciting workshops and sessions. Remember that ILC is what you make of it, so get out of your comfort zone and enjoy every second.
🔵 Connect and Network: Exchange contacts with members from other chapters to build your network. Introduce yourself to professionals—they are there for you! Don't forget to say hi to the International Officers.
