Originally from Colombia, Elsa is a proud Southlake resident and a passionate real estate professional with more than 13 years of experience. She is honored to be the only Latina in Keller Williams’ Luxury Division International in Southlake, building her business on dedication, integrity, and a genuine passion for helping families find or sell their perfect homes. 🏡

Before real estate, Elsa built an impressive career in Colombian media. She studied Social Communication and Journalism at Externado de Colombia University and went on to work as a TV correspondent, newsletter writer, radio director at RCN, and Director of Communications for Cerro Matoso S.A.

Her journey has taken her from Colombia to Missouri, Venezuela, Houston, Florida, and Michigan before she and her family found their home in Southlake, where they’ve proudly lived for more than 17 years.

Today, Elsa enjoys spending time with her husband, Todd, and their daughters, Isabella and Gabriela, connecting with friends, playing pickleball, and, of course, dancing like any proud Colombian girl! 💃🏽🇨🇴

Today, meet Maria Ramirez Gummerson , our Volunteer Chair and a passionate community advocate who believes in the power of giving back. ❤️🤝

Maria is a proud Mexican American with roots in Zacatecas, Mexico. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she moved to San Antonio at 15 and has called the DFW area home for the past nine years.

A proud alumna of St. Mary’s University and UT San Antonio, Maria has spent the last 28 years building a career in information security, currently serving as a Lead Information Security Engineer supporting the financial services of the military community.

But beyond her professional career, Maria’s heart is in service. She has volunteered with local civic campaigns, Habitat for Humanity, Minnie’s Food Pantry, and other charitable organizations across Texas.

Today, she continues that commitment as our Volunteer Chair, helping bring together the amazing people who make our Celebration possible. From planning behind the scenes to helping on the big day, our volunteers are an essential part of what makes this event special. ❤️

And Maria knows firsthand that you don’t have to do something huge to make a difference—you just have to show up and be willing to help.

Today, meet Viri Barker, our President and Marketing Chair—and one of the visionaries behind the Southlake Hispanic/Latino Organization. ❤️🌎

Born in Guadalajara, Mexico and raised in Arizona, Viri is a Mexican-American entrepreneur, educator, speaker, and holistic wellness practitioner with a deep passion for culture, healing, and community.

She earned her B.A. in Justice Studies with a minor in English Literature from Arizona State University and has worked across private, public, and government sectors, bringing a well-rounded perspective to leadership and advocacy.

As Co-Founder of Integrative Pain and Wellness Center and founder of Viridis Apothecary, her work focuses on holistic wellness and connection to self and nature. She is also a certified herbalist, Reiki Master, yoga teacher, and consciousness coach.

In 2025, Viri co-founded the Southlake Hispanic/Latino Organization to create a space where Hispanic and Latino culture is celebrated, contributions are recognized, and community is strengthened.

That vision became the Southlake Hispanic Heritage Celebration—bringing thousands together through music, dance, food, art, and shared cultural experiences. 🎶💃🏽🌮❤️

As President and Marketing Chair, she helps guide the organization’s mission and share its story with the community.

At the heart of her work is a simple belief:

We are stronger when we stay connected—to ourselves, our culture, and one another.

And that is what this Celebration is all about.

Today, meet Mario Chavez Jr., our Sponsorship Chair and a proud Texan, engineer, business leader, and advocate for diversity and inclusion. 🌎🤝

Born in El Paso, Mario earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UTEP and his M.S. from Texas A&M University. His career with Exxon began with internships in 1992 and grew into more than three decades of leadership across engineering, operations, strategic planning, commercial management, and global business.

His career has taken him across the U.S. and internationally, including assignments in Virginia, Texas, Louisiana, and the United Kingdom, giving him a truly global perspective and deep experience bringing people and organizations together.

Today, Mario serves as a Global Product Manager at ExxonMobil, helping advance innovative solutions in circular products and recycling.

But his leadership extends well beyond his professional career. Mario is a passionate supporter of diversity, inclusion, and community, participating in and supporting initiatives including GOAL, WIN, PRIDE, MAES, SHPE, and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation.

As our Sponsorship Chair, Mario brings his relationship-building skills, strategic perspective, and passion for community to help connect our Celebration with businesses and organizations that share our vision.

And behind the accomplished professional is a proud husband and father of three who understands the importance of family, opportunity, and community. ❤️

Today, meet Lynda Warner, our Advisory Chair and a longtime Southlake resident whose heart for service, education, and community makes her an invaluable part of our team. ❤️

Lynda and her husband, Robert, have called Southlake home for 26 years, where they raised their two daughters and became deeply connected to the community.

With a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Lynda built a successful career as a sales trainer in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Today, in retirement, she pours that same passion for leadership and development into serving others.

Lynda has a special passion for children, education, and volunteerism. She loves training and working with volunteers and brings her experience and organizational skills to fundraising events and community projects.

And there’s another part of Lynda’s story we love! 🇵🇷🇩🇪 With Puerto Rican and German roots, culture is an important part of her family—and naturally, so is food! Her love of cooking has created countless memorable dinners, conversations, and connections.

As our Advisory Chair, Lynda brings wisdom, experience, and a genuine commitment to helping our organization grow and serve our community.
