It's Miracle League time again!

We are once again supporting the Cardinals Miracle League team and they need buddies and volunteers - which means you! These games last just an hour and every player hits and scores, so it's fun for all.

As we volunteer as Buddies, our Cardinal Parents get to sit in the stands and their only responsibility is to have fun, cheer for the players, and spend time with the other parents.

Please look at the schedule and sign up where you can. This event is open to friends, family members, neighbors, siblings, and anyone else who wants to give to others as well. No knowledge of baseball rules or athletic ability is needed (Seriously, like none whatsoever!)

Please share where you can.

Go Cardinals!

New Deadline Extension!

Since there was some confusion as we moved from the original Group Stage bracket game on ESPN, and late notification, and to help our fundraising efforts for Key Club scholarships, we have extended the entry deadline to until just before the Netherlands/Morocco game on Monday night.

To give a few more people the opportunity to participate and help support Kiwanis scholarships, we’ve extended the bracket entry deadline until 8:00 PM Central tomorrow (before the next Round of 32 match begins).

To be fair to those who already submitted entries, new brackets will be exempt from earning points for picking the winner of the first match.

Payment methods for the $25.00 entry fee per bracket
Venmo -
Zelle - 817-300-8460
paypal - [email protected]

Good Luck!

Apologies if you get this multiple times but we're moving our bracket game to a new website. ESPN quietly dropped the ability for pool managers to access or use emails in their bracket games - making it very hard to manage/communicate when the link has been shared (which is encouraged!) and the default was that ESPN sets up brackets is to use just the person's first name and a bracket number.

So, we're moving to a new site - which we hope makes it easier and is here: https://officepoolstop.com/invite/respond/EhTB9QzmEa?action=join You should be able to set up an account easily - with an email and password. Since we're collecting payments outside of the app, the default setting is to display that you owe. You can ignore any messaging with "owe" as we will manually update this after getting payment. You can pay via Venmo , Zelle -817-300-8460 or paypay - [email protected] 40% of proceeds will fund our Key Club scholarships and the remaining pot will be split with 50% to first, 40% to runner up and 30% to the third place finisher. Please share and make your selections before kickoff of the first game today at 2pm central. Good luck!

The ESPN bracket management is less robust than we expected. To help us identify everyone correctly, here is how you can update your name to reflect your full name -

Go to the ESPN Page and hit the my entries tab

Go to the gear icon to the right of your current team name

This opens up the edit box and you can enter your team name.

Then, please send an email to [email protected] or text 817-300-8460 with your team name and your email address. You can also use this email to pay via pay pal, or the cell number to pay by Zelle.

We'll send out information on the new platform for the Knock Out stages shortly.

You've been invited to join a group and play ESPN's Group Stage Challenge

What a fun and busy month May has been. Looking back with gratitude and fond memories of key events, including our annual Heart of Service recognition ceremony.

This annual award recognizes one of our outstanding Student Resource Officers and this year's recipient was Officer Jason Keller from Durham Intermediate. He is pictured here with Durham Asst. Principal Kim Ray, along with Kiwanis Club President Dan Seyler.

Congrats to Officer Keller and we thank you for your "Heart of Service" to the students at Durham Intermediate and to Southlake!
