Twenty-five years ago today, our nation changed forever.

On September 11, 2001, 2,977 lives were taken. In the face of unimaginable tragedy, firefighters, police officers, paramedics, military personnel, and ordinary Americans ran toward danger to help people they had never met.

Today, we remember those who were lost. We honor the first responders who answered the call, including those who gave their lives that day and those who carried the physical and emotional consequences of their service for years afterward.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives, the sacrifice, the courage, and the unity that followed one of the darkest days in American history.

May we never forget.

Michael's Memories supports firefighters battling cancer by helping them step away from treatment and spend meaningful time with their families.

Their 16th Annual Golf Classic takes place Monday, October 5, 2026, at Bear Creek Golf Club in Dallas. The tournament helps support the organization’s work with firefighters and their families.

Beyond the Burn Foundation is proud to help share this event in support of our Board Member, Chad Gruver, and a cause he is personally involved with.

Michaels Memories is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing firefighters with cancer the opportunity to GETAWAY FROM CANCER on a vacation with their family. Allowing them to reconnect and escape the stress, trauma, and financial burder that undergoing cancer treatment creates.
