Sometimes obedience can feel like a loss in the moment.

On Covenant & Conflict, Trysten Tice shares how, at 16, she chose to honor her mother and postpone her baptism, trusting that God would honor her obedience.
Biblical submission to authority requires a deep trust in God, believing that He is still sovereign even when obedience means surrendering something we deeply desire.

And He honored that trust.
Years later, Trysten’s baptism story became a miracle of its own, taking place in Israel. What once felt like giving something up became part of a story only God could have written.

On the Covenant & Conflict Podcast, Wayne Wilks shares the remarkable story of being called to Ukraine and heading to the airport without the visa he needed to go.

That morning, one verse anchored his faith: “The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 37:32
Wayne believed he was simply attaching himself to something God had already declared His zeal was behind. So they went, and the visa arrived just as they were boarding the plane.

When God calls, His zeal is able to accomplish what He has purposed.

What does it really mean to live out “to the Jew first”?
Nic Lesmeister shares why Gentile believers have a responsibility to relate to the Jewish people with genuine love, not coercion, condescension, or combativeness, but in a way that reflects a love for the God of Israel.

On the Covenant & Conflict Podcast, Wayne Wilks and Nic Lesmeister ask: in an uncertain moment in the Middle East, how do we remain faithful?

Wayne points to the basics: love the Jewish people, stand against antisemitism, support the Messianic Jewish community, strengthen churches with a heart for Israel, and stay faithful to God’s calling.

After decades of ministry, he’s seen God’s faithfulness through every season, even when the path wasn’t clear.

What changes when we begin to see Israel and the Jewish people in their proper biblical perspective?
For Wayne Wilks, it started with simply opening the Scriptures. As he and his church leadership began to study God’s heart and purposes for Israel, something shifted. What they saw wasn’t merely a historic priority, but a present one: the gospel is “to the Jew first,” and God’s purposes for Israel are deeply connected to His purposes for the nations.
That revelation became a strategy, a calling, and ultimately part of the story that would lead to Gateway Center for Israel.
