Board of members, committee, students and volunteers, friends and family.

Present our own DORICELYS N. MARTINEZ, as our Leadership Spotlight.

She is a Compassionate & Courageous Leader, Servant with a Heart of Gold

Some people speak about change. Doricelys N. Martinez rolls up her sleeves, steps into the need, and makes change happen.

As President and Executive Director of the Cuidado Casero Foundation, Doricelys leads with compassion, courage, and an unwavering commitment to building a stronger and more diverse healthcare workforce. Through scholarships, mentoring, educational workshops, leadership development, and career guidance, she is helping bilingual, Spanish-speaking students overcome barriers and pursue life-changing careers in nursing and healthcare.

For Doricelys, leadership is not defined by a title it is defined by SERVICE.

In 2016, she founded Helping Hands 4 the Homeless North Texas, mobilizing volunteers and community partners to serve individuals experiencing homelessness with dignity and compassion. Her bold, hands-on approach also helped create the Pop-Up Care Village Carnival in partnership with Art of Living. This remarkable Fort Worth event provided showers, meals, clothing, medical care, employment resources, and other essential services to more than 358 adults and 32 children.

Before leading Cuidado Casero Foundation, Doricelys spent 17 years as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Medica Health Management, supporting home health and hospice operations while building meaningful relationships throughout the healthcare community. Her experience in healthcare, human resources, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement gives her a unique ability to bring people together around a shared mission.

Her heart for service reaches far beyond North Texas. Doricelys has supported the North Texas Chapter of PAMS and personally participated in medical missions to Peru in 2013 and 2019, helping bring medical care and surgeries to underserved communities. She has also mentored young women through Girls Inc., encouraging them to recognize their potential, pursue their dreams, and lead with confidence.

In addition to her extensive nonprofit and healthcare leadership, Doricelys also serves her local community through civic engagement. She is a board member of the SHLO – Southlake Hispanic Latino Organization, where she serves as Vice President of the organization and as Vendor Committee Chair for the annual Southlake Hispanic Heritage Celebration, helping to uplift culture, strengthen community partnerships, and celebrate Hispanic heritage each year.

Doricelys holds a Master of Science in Human Resources and a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Her leadership and community impact have been recognized through numerous honors, including:

»Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce 50 Latino Leaders 2023
»Inaugural TRACE Community Partner in Tarrant County Award
»Girls Inc. BOLD Woman Award — 2024
»FWHCC Community Advocate of the Year — 2024
»The Business Press Advocate for Healthcare — 2025
»52 Faces of Community — 2025
»Woman of Courage — 2026

She has also been featured in Southlake Style, The Metro Report, One to Know: Celebrating Women of Texas, and the Fort Worth Report.

Known as a calculated risk-taker and servant leader, Doricelys is never afraid to challenge what is comfortable when something better is possible. She gives her time, shares her resources, mentors future leaders, and creates opportunities for people who may otherwise be overlooked.

💙 Her compassion brings people together.
💙 Her courage moves missions forward.
💙 Her heart of gold transforms lives.

Today, we proudly celebrate Doricelys N. Martinez a dynamic advocate, humanitarian, mentor, and visionary leader whose life reminds us that the greatest impact begins with a willing heart and the courage to serve.

Celebrating 10 Years of Leadership, Advocacy & Heart:
Dr. Jaime González

For nearly a decade, Dr. Jaime González has been a dedicated advocate, trusted Board Member, and passionate supporter of the Cuidado Casero Foundation’s mission.

His commitment is deeply rooted in helping bilingual, Spanish speaking students overcome barriers and pursue meaningful careers in nursing, healthcare, and the health professions. With a true philanthropic heart, Dr. González leads through service giving generously to his community, church, and the students whose futures he helps transform.

Professionally, Dr. González serves as Chief Business Development Officer of the Health Plan Alliance and brings more than 30 years of healthcare industry experience, including 16 years in the health insurance sector. His distinguished career also includes serving as National Director of Business Development for UnitedHealthcare’s Latino Health Solutions.

Dr. González earned his doctorate from the University of North Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health, where his research focused on health insurance enrollment and healthcare-seeking behaviors among Latino communities. He also holds a Master of Science in Health Administration from Texas Woman’s University and a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington.

His commitment to developing the next generation of Latino healthcare professionals is also deeply personal.

In 2016, Dr. González and his wife, Lucy, helped establish the Gloria J. González Memorial Scholarship Fund for the Advancement of Latinos in the Healthcare Professions, in collaboration with the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas Fort Worth Chapter.

The scholarship honors Jaime’s younger sister, Gloria, who passed away in 1988 and dreamed of becoming a pediatrician. Through this meaningful fund, Jaime and Lucy are ensuring that Gloria’s dream lives on by helping other Hispanic and Latino students achieve their own dreams of serving in healthcare.

Dr. González, thank you for 10 years of steadfast leadership, compassionate service, and belief in our students. Your advocacy is helping break financial and language barriers, strengthen the bilingual healthcare workforce, and build healthier communities for generations to come.

We are honored and grateful to have you as part of the Cuidado Casero Foundation family.

We are proud to support a cause that is so close to our hearts. ❤️

Through MR Paint Booth Services, Rafael and I have been honored to serve as proud sponsors of Corazón de México since 2023. I have also had the privilege of being part of the committee since 2019.

My journey with Cuidado Casero Foundation began while I was working for Medica Health Management, the corporate office of Cuidado Casero Home Health and Hospice. Even after leaving, I continued supporting the foundation as a volunteer and later became involved in social media marketing because I truly believed in the legitimacy of this foundation, its founders, and its mission.

What touched my heart most was seeing the passion behind helping students with big dreams but limited financial opportunities. Many of these students are first-generation college students, and hearing their stories made me realize I was supporting a foundation filled with both purpose and heart.

Today, Rafael and I feel deeply grateful to continue supporting this mission financially through MR Paint Booth Services, and we will continue to do so for as long as God allows us.

Every student who accomplishes their dream is a dream come true for us as well. ✨

Thank you, Cuidado Casero Foundation, for allowing us to be part of something so meaningful.

Happy Mother’s Day to every incredible mother in our community. 🌸

Today we celebrate your unconditional love, your sacrifices, your strength, and the beautiful way you nurture those around you every single day. A mother’s heart is one of God’s greatest gifts, filled with compassion, resilience, wisdom, and endless love.

At Cuidado Casero Foundation, we honor all mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and women who lead with kindness and grace. Thank you for being the heartbeat of our families and communities.

May we be reminded how valued, appreciated, and deeply loved we truly are.
