Texas Truth Fastpitch would like to recognize Sophia G, Reese D, Angel D, Liberty A, Carli N, and Bryleigh M for their outstanding performances at this past weekends tournament and for pushing through adversity to make it to their second championship in the last two weeks. The ladies were seemingly unfazed by anything thrown their way and showed a ton of grit, determination, and played the game as a team. We are very proud of the way they handled themselves and want to acknowledge these awesome young ladies.

#22 Sophia had 7 hits, two doubles, a triple, 7 RBI’s, 5 runs, and 3 stolen bases. She also struck out 28 batters in 14 innings. She was also our championship MVP.

#16 Reese had 4 hits, including 2 doubles, an RBI, scored 4 runs and had 7 stolen bases!

#12 Angel had 3 hits, an RBI, scored 4 runs, and had 2 stolen bases. She was also phenomenal on defense with 1.000 FPCT.

#13 Carli had 3 hits including a triple, a HR, 3 RBI’s, 2 runs and a 1.000 FPCT.

#15 Liberty had a 1.000 OBP, 3BB, a stolen base and a 1.000 FPCT.

#23 Bayleigh M had 4 hits, an RBI, scored 5 runs and had 4 stolen bases.

Lots of life lessons were learned this weekend, and the ladies handled themselves honorably. Way to go ladies!

Players of the week at Winter Nationals were-

#22 P Sophia Gilliam- Struck out 38 batters in 19.2 innings, going 3-1, with a 1.556 ERA, 1.389 WHIP en route to winning a championship at Winter Nationals.

#13 Carli Neely-Batted .500, going 3 for 6, with 2 HR’s, 4 RBI’s, 4 runs and 2 stolen bases.

#12 Angel Davis-went 3 of 8 for .375, had a monster 200 ft shot to the fence, had a double, and two stolen bases.

#16 Reese Decareau-was a force in the middle infield, had 3 hits,2 stolen bases and lead the team in spreading the word of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in prayer.

#15 Liberty Austin- Crucial defensive stop to help send us to the championship and a 1.000 fielding pct.

#5 Noelle Neptune-Was a wall behind the plate, catching 6 games, and proved she is a force to be reckoned with.

These girls represent everything good about our sport and had a phenomenal weekend! Way to go ladies!

Texas Truth 12U Gold opened up our organizations inaugural season by winning a championship at the NCS Winter Nationals in Red Oak and against some phenomenal competition, that battled us every step of the way. What a great was to start of the season. Please help us congratulate our ladies on a job well done. Way to go ladies!

Opening Day is tomorrow for Texas Truth Fastpitch 12u Gold, as we open our organization’s inaugural season against Glory Adkins 12u Gold at 9:30, followed by Phoenix 2k11 at 11! Both games will be live streamed on GameChanger and on the link below. Go get ‘em ladies!
