Asking for a friend… really!!

As many of you know, Marc, the kids and I have taken in a Ukrainian refugee last Aug 2022 bc of the war. She has lost everything. She is trying to get on her feet here in Texas. We are providing food and housing for her, (and hopefully good friendship!!), but Inna is in need of a car. She has been borrowing ours, but the time has come for her to get her own. Inna Priornytsca is a beautiful person. She started her own pet sitting company and drives around the Metroplex as needed for her clients and their pets. I have nominated her for “Michelle’s Little Miracles” on New Country 96.3 but haven’t heard back and I am now reaching out to anyone who may have a connection on getting her a reliable and safe car. Any advice (or car!) appreciated…. Thank you!!!!

WELCOME MARIIA!

Look who joined our family!!! Mariia, Inna’s mom, arrived in Texas back in March and it’s been so wonderful for mother and daughter to be reunited after so many months! And we are so lucky and blessed that Mariia loves cooking!!!

Back in August (yeah, it’s been awhile since we’ve posted)….. Inna joined our family under the U4U program. What a blessing our new guest is!!

Yesterday we celebrated Ivan, Danylo and Yustyna’s birthdays…. This was by far, the best party that I have ever attended!!!!! It was thoughtfully designed and executed by our volunteer team…. More shout outs to come, but for now, enjoy a few pics!!!!

While we were setting up Alex’s home last weekend Pylyp was keeping our tummies full with homemade borscht!!! Served with a dollop of sour cream, this was so delish!!!!! I.LOVE.BORSCHT!

I have commissioned a wonderful Ukrainian artist, getman to paint the Ukrainian flag, that our relocated families will receive. Her work is beautiful.

Our first relocation was the Slipchenko family. Pylyp was in Texas for business when the war broke out in Feb 2022… It would be months before his family would be able to join him in the US, but here they are finally reunited and happy!

What a little love and elbow grease can do…. From old craft table to office desk, this butcher block table had been in a donor’s family for generations and was lovingly restored to “good as new”!
