Bike The Blue mourns the loss of Saint Louis University Police Officer Tony Geisel, who passed on January 15, 2025.

IPMBA is saddened to share the news of the loss of Saint Louis University (SLU) Police Department Bike Officer Anthony (Tony) Geisel, who succumbed to a medical emergency on January 15, 2025. Tony attended the IPMBA Police Cyclist Course held May 27-30, 2008, at SLU, taught by Anthony Grimmig, PCI #992. Tony enjoyed being a bike officer and was known for his sense of humor. Bike The Blue is proud to have provided the bikes that helped launch the Fort Worth Police Department's new bicycle patrol unit in the Stockyards! Thanks to the generous donations from local Fort Worth citizens and businesses, these officers can patrol more effectively and make a real difference—like catching dangerous criminals who have evaded justice for years. Welcome to Euless even longer! Congratulations Assistant Chief Alvarado!

The City of Euless is pleased to announce the promotion of Brenda Alvarado to Assistant Chief of Police. Alvarado joined the Euless Police Department in January 2000 as a Police Officer, and through her career, has been promoted to Senior Police Officer, Senior Police Corporal, Sergeant, and most recently, Captain, a position she has held since May 2022.

Today marks a significant moment for our Bike The Blue initiative, as we proudly donate 10 new bikes to the Dallas Police Department's bike patrol unit. These bikes were presented to the dedicated officers, the Police Chief, and members of the City Council in a heartfelt ceremony. This marks one more step in expanding community policing and supporting those who protect and serve us every day.

We are incredibly honored to help equip the officers with the best tools to continue their tireless work, patrolling our streets day and night, ensuring the safety and security of our neighborhoods. Their commitment to safeguarding our communities deserves the highest recognition, and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting their mission.

This initiative wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our supporters. Your passion and commitment have helped make a difference, not just in Dallas, but across the nation. Together, we are building stronger connections between law enforcement and the communities they serve, and we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone involved.
