June 15–16, 2026 – Nation of Patriots Tour
On Monday, June 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the Nation of Patriots Tour Flag will arrive in Southington as part of its journey across the United States in support of our nation's veterans.
The public is invited to gather at the municipal parking lot next to the American Legion, where a group of riders from Ellington, Connecticut, will deliver the flag to Southington. Upon its arrival, a brief ceremony will be held to officially transfer the flag from the Ellington riders to the Southington riders.
The following morning, Tuesday, June 16, the Southington riders will es**rt the flag through town, passing several Southington schools before continuing to the Harley-Davidson dealership in Bristol. Later that morning, the riders will travel to Brewster, New York, where they will meet a group of riders from New Jersey and formally transfer the flag for the next leg of its journey.
As part of the ceremony, we will also recognize our two local funeral homes for their dedicated service and the honors they provide to our veterans and their families.
