How was your reading in 2024? I finished 43 books in 2024 and hope to read as many or more in 2025!
This is a book that I started in 2024 and finished yesterday, Jan 3rd. It was offered on Kindle Unlimited and looked interesting to me as I am fascinated by anything to due with witch hunting. This fictional book is set in Europe in 1657.

I enjoyed reading this book. The witchhunting events felt subtle with some exceptions. This books has some mysteries and twists which I was not expecting and made it more interesting. I appreciated the details to everyday life in 1657 also.

Finished this 8 book series today! Thoroughly enjoyed the books after binge-watching the HBO series TrueBlood. I usually say that the books are better than the movie or show but this series is really a toss-up for me! I've enjoyed them both. More books feature Sookie Stackhouse (link to the list of all of them in the comment section for future reference) and I'm sure that I will read them at some point soon because they are entertaining, have great characters, and are paranormal action-packed!!!

I'm going to try a James Patterson novel. It's a new book and book 1 in a series. Sounds intriguing.

Recently watched HBO's (now on Hulu) TrueBlood TV series that is based on the Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris. I enjoyed the quirky dark show so much that I decided to read the series. Book 1 - Dead Until Dark - is finished and Book 2 has been started. So far I am enjoying the read, there are subtle differences but overall the show follows the book for the most part and I appreciate that there are more details in the book. Fun Read!

I first read the book in 1976 and reread it last year after completing the entire Vampire Chronicles series as well as the Mayfair Witches and the crossovers. Decades apart my take was quite different, from a teenager that saw romance in 1976 to an adult that saw a man and then vampire with some serious grief and negative thinking issues.
