Helping people and animals in need of assistance, working with other non profits to help the greater good. We promote and encourage the pay it forward movement!

RAINA Reaching All IN Need of Assistance, is helping animals in need of assistance in various ways. We collect food, blankets, towels, treats, bleach, paper towels, leashes, bowls and needed supplies for local shelters and rescues. We distribute food and straw to outdoor dogs in Detroit when supplies allow. We share animals looking for their furever homes and host adoption events often. We also tr

y to offer assistance to people that may have fallen on hard times by supplying pet food. We assist people in many ways as well. From providing life saving supplies and food to the less fortunate that are homeless, helping people get back on their feet, providing furnishings for homes for individuals that were once homeless, We have helped provide clothing for all ages to those in need, helped with the holidays, etc. we try to assist in any way we can! Today a couple volunteers carried on the annual tradition of supporting the great works of Bark Nation! They were raising money for their spay and neuter program. Juli and Michelle were touched beyond words and brought to tears from the heartfelt tribute given for our dear Carrie.

Carrie had attended this event with RAINA volunteers since its beginning. She always supported Barn Nation’s efforts of providing and caring for the helpless victims of dog fighting and animal cruelty and more.

We were more than happy to carry on this tradition.

Today, we joined forces with Animal Resource Funding Foundation, Detroiters Helping Each Other, and Michigan Humane hand out life saving supplies to the residents for the dogs and cats. We helped over 1,000 animals. Ao thankful to all of them and to YOU for donating towards this great cause.

I just know that Carrie was part of our crew today and is so happy!

As many of you know, one of Carrie’s many passions was helping the voiceless. What better way of honoring our angel in heaven, then joining forces with a few of the groups that she was also a part of and loved helping.

We will be joining forces with ARFF, DHEO, and Michigan Humane to do a winter outreach on January 30th. The flyer lists the items that we will be providing that day.

Thanks to your record card donations, RAINA had plenty of extra Christmas cards to share. Our elves made extra deliveries today to Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital and the VFW Post 9283 in Southgate, whose patients and Downriver veterans will receive your gift of the season.

Our elves, Christie and Ed, borrowed Santa’s sleigh today and visited several downriver care facilities delivering Christmas Cards to all their residents.

Thank you to both of them and all of you who donated and signed these cards.

To all of our followers and supporters, it is with the heaviest of hearts, we are saddened to inform all of you of the passing of our Founder and blessed friend, Carrie. After battling a hard fought 3 year battle with Stage 4 Melanoma, the Lord decided to call her home.

Please keep her family and all our volunteers in your thoughts and prayers.

We have a generous donor offering a free large turkey to a family in need. This will need to be picked up today in Woodhaven.

Three total turkeys to be given away.
