DCC WIA Youth Program

DCC WIA Youth Program DCC provides leadership in establishing common, positive goals and strategies to develop the human, social and economic assets of the Downriver area.

WIA Youth Program: For eligible youth, DCC Southgate Michigan Works Center provides a flexible, customer-centered service with a goal of improving occupational, work readiness, and basic skills. Qualified youth ages 14-21 years old receive individual assistance from DCC WIA Youth staff to guide them in pursuing their GED, occupational training, and provide job search assistance.

Due to the likelihood that the predicted snowstorm over the next 24 hours will make driving extremely hazardous, DCC, (THE SOUTHGATE MICHIGAN WORKS CENTER) will not be open on Wednesday due to predicted extreme weather conditions, but will be open for business with normal hours on Thursday.

Unfortunately, there is a water main break on McCann and Northline. Therefore, the BUILDING IS CLOSING and everyone needs to be out of the office no later than 12:30


The water will be turned off at 12:30 pm by the City of Southgate and there will be no access to water after 1 pm.
