🕊️ In Memoriam: Baba Cheikh Ahmadou Banba Mbacké

It is with deep sorrow that Friends of Royal Oak Township announces the passing of our beloved Founder, Baba Cheikh Ahmadou Banba Mbacké.

Baba Cheikh was more than a teacher — he was a Jegna: an elder, mentor, and warrior for truth. He gave his brilliance, time, and heart to building FOROT and to preserving the history and culture of our community.

He reminded us often: “I only debate my equals; all others I teach.”

Though we grieve his passing, we honor his extraordinary legacy and commit to carrying his light forward.

🌿 Rest in power, Baba Cheikh.
Your vision lives on in all of us.
