الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى السوري الأمريكي يلتقي القائم بالأعمال في السفارة السورية بواشنطن

التقى الدكتور زكريا خلف، الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى السوري الأمريكي، يرافقه الأستاذ رياض بني مرحه، الممثل والمنسق الإقليمي للمجلس في واشنطن، بالأستاذ محمد القناطري، القائم بالأعمال في السفارة السورية بالعاصمة الأمريكية واشنطن، وبحضور عدد من السادة أعضاء السفارة.
تناول اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز التنسيق والتعاون المشترك بما يخدم المصالح العامة والتواصل الفعّال ، و رحب الأمين العام بعودة النشاط السياسي والدبلوماسي للسفارة بعد توقف طويل ولا سيما الخدمات القنصلية التي يحتاجها السوريون ، وتم التطرق للدور الإيجابي الذي يمكن أن يلعبه المجلس كحلقة وصل فعالة بين السفارة والاداره الأمريكيه لخدمة العلاقات السوريه الامريكيه ،وفي ختام اللقاء، أعرب الدكتور خلف عن خالص تهانيه للأستاذ القناطري بمناسبة تسلمه مهامه الجديدة، متمنياً له ولطاقم السفارة النجاح والتوفيق.
ونحيطكم علمًا بأن السفارة تواصل حاليًا أعمال إعادة تأهيل مبنى السفارة، وبالتوازي مع ذلك، وحرصًا على تلبية احتياجات المواطنين، باشرت بصورة استثنائية بتقديم الحد الأدنى من الخدمات القنصلية ، والمتمثل حاليًا بتصديق الوثائق الصادرة من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية بعد استكمال تصديقها أصولًا لدى الجهات الأمريكية المختصة.
وسيتم الإعلان عن استئناف بقية الخدمات القنصلية تباعًا فور الانتهاء من تجهيز مبنى السفارة والقسم القنصلي.
Secretary-General of the Syrian American Supreme Council Meets with the Syrian Chargé d'Affaires in Washington
WASHINGTON
Dr. Zakaria Khalaf, Secretary-General of the Syrian American Supreme Council, accompanied by Mr. Riad Bani Marha, the Council's Regional Representative and Coordinator in Washington, met with Mr. Mohamed Al-Qanatri, the Chargé d'Affaires at the Syrian Embassy in Washington, D.C., in the presence of several embassy staff members.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues for enhancing coordination and joint cooperation to serve public interests and foster effective communication. At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Khalaf extended his sincere congratulations to Mr. Al-Qanatri on assuming his new duties, wishing him and the embassy staff continued success in their diplomatic mission.
Notice to Syrian Citizens Residing in the United States of America
The Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Washington, D.C. wishes to confirm that there are no law firms, service offices, or other entities authorized or accredited by the Embassy to provide consular services or receive applications on behalf of Syrian citizens.
The Embassy further informs citizens that it is currently undertaking the rehabilitation of its premises. At the same time, and in an effort to meet the needs of the Syrian community, it has exceptionally resumed the provision of a limited range of consular services. At present, these are confined to the legalization of documents issued in the United States, provided that they have first been duly authenticated by the competent U.S. authorities.
The gradual resumption of all remaining consular services will be announced as soon as the Embassy building and the Consular Section have been fully prepared and are operational.
