We’re Devin and Bella!

We met freshman year in college 13 years ago when Bella lived down the hall from Devin and we have been inseparable ever since. We are best friends and love exploring and trying new things together, especially with our dog Luna.

Devin is a thoughtful and caring person who loves to do renovation projects around the house. When he’s not working on the house, he loves to play golf and hockey, or watch a good movie. He loves to spend time with his family and extended family and is always finding ways to help out or looking to spend time together.

Bella is a caring, kind, and considerate person who would do anything for her family and friends. She loves to watch and play sports, loves to cook, and play games, whether that’s board, card, or video games. She loves to be active, whether that’s playing golf and hockey with Devin, or going on walks with our dog Luna.

Family is everything to us. We love getting together with them any chance we get, especially when there is a Pass the Ace or Catan game involved.

On the coldest day of the year, our hearts were melted by finalizing Jeff and Danielle's adoption of precious baby Kai. He was the star of the courtroom that day and we couldn't be happier to have been able to assist with this adoption. Kai is loved by so many and we're thrilled to send out CONGRATULATIONS to this lovely family. Wishes for a lifetime of happiness for you all!

Hello! We’re Sarah and Mike!

Sarah is a teacher and Mike is a pastor. Thank you for considering us as we look to grow our family through adoption. We will be praying for you through this process.

We met at the beginning of our freshman year of college. We dated all four years, and we got married after we graduated. We’ve been married about 12 years.

We have lived in Michigan since 2022 and we have been excited to put down roots as we prepare to become parents! We’ve lived in a couple of big cities across the Midwest, and we’re enjoying life someplace a little smaller these days. Mike is a pastor of a Christian church, and Sarah is a high school biology teacher. We both love our work and the people we have met in this community. We expect to live here for a long time!

Mike is caring, thoughtful, and patient. He enjoys spending time with friends, watching sports, and playing disc golf in his spare time. Before he was a pastor, he worked as a sports journalist. He has found both jobs to be fulfilling, and he has loved being a pastor. We live less than two hours from his parents’ home, and we see them routinely.

Sarah is smart, adventurous, and fearless. She loves spending time in the garden, and she has a crafting project or two in progress all the time. We enjoy traveling to see Sarah’s parents and grandparents for the holidays.

Our home is usually pretty quiet. We enjoy having game nights with our friends, but otherwise we spend most of our evenings at home. We stay busy at our church, which is an important part of our lives. We also have a dog named Onyx. He loves kids!

We believe we can offer a child a stable, loving home with lots of educational opportunities and a strong community in which to grow up and explore. We look forward to growing our family through adoption and making space for you in our lives. Thank you again for considering us!

Hi! We’re Mark & Kayla!

We’re very excited to begin to grow our family. Since the start, we both knew we wanted to be parents and adoption has always been a part of our plan. We can’t imagine what you’re feeling right now, but we want you to know that you’re loved & cared for as you consider making an adoption plan for your child. Any child in our home will be given unconditional love and support, and will always know about his/her adoption story.

We met in early 2018 and were married by the end of 2019. Since then we had the opportunity to build our house! We’ve used the last two years to turn our house into a cozy home and we are ready to continue making it a home by adding to our family.
Kayla is a k-12 ESL teacher and Mark is an engineer at an auto-company. We enjoy spending time with our families, performing with local community theaters, ballroom dancing, and spending time at home with our kitties. We also enjoy traveling to visit new and familiar places.

If you choose us to parent your child, please know that you will always be an important and honored part of your child’s story. We believe deeply in open, honest, and caring communication, and we would love to stay connected in a way that keeps your child’s needs at the center. Above all, we want your child to grow up knowing how deeply they are loved — by us and by you — and that you are woven into who they are.

Our family includes the two of us and our two four-legged shadows: Maisy, our playful cockapoo, and Jack, our sweet corgi mix. They adore kids, outdoor adventures, treats, and snuggles.

Family is at the heart of our lives. Katie is one of fourteen siblings, and Joe is one of five, meaning your child would grow up surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of laughter. Love, fun, and togetherness are constants in our home.

Katie works in nonprofit development and enjoys crafting, painting, community theater, and horseback riding. Joe is a resident family medicine physician who loves music, cooking, and a friendly game of Mario Kart. We dream of one day raising our family on land filled with animals and open space.

We are so excited to grow our family and to walk this journey with you, together. Thank you for getting to know us.

Adoption is full of highs and lows. Hopes and disappointments. But bright and early Monday morning, we got to have our bucket filled with love and hope when we finalized Grant and Grayden’s adoption of their precious daughter. They were surrounded by their family and a special friend to celebrate this special day.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your beautiful family. And thank you for the love and care you have shown your daughter’s birth family. Wishes for a beautiful life together 🩷

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP WOMEN/FAMILIES IN NEED THIS HOLIDAY ?? As we all know, these needs are growing in our community and the number of calls looking for assistance is rising.

In spring of 2025, the generosity of people who cared about Karen Gladstone helped Morning Star Adoption Center establish the Karen Gladstone Memorial Fund. This is a benevolent fund that is being used to assist with limited funds to meet basic needs for women/families in our community. Morning Star has been honored to help women/families in our community through the establishment of this memorial fund.

If you would like to make a tax deductible monetary donation to the Karen Gladstone Memorial fund during this holiday season to assist Morning Star to continue to help women/families in need please reach out to the office for a payment link.

Hello! We’re Jenny and Emrae. Thank you for taking the time to read about us.

Becoming parents has been a dream in our hearts for a long time.

Emrae is very smart and thoughtful. He cares for our dogs with devotion and keeps our home warm and welcoming. Jenny is compassionate, trustworthy and a deeply caring person. She brings love and support to everyone around her. Together, we enjoy playing games, watching sports, spending time outside, walking our dogs, we always try to keep joy at the center of our home. In our home everyone is welcomed and embraced. We are ready to open our hearts and home to a child and are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to become parents through adoption.

Hi There,

We are Dan and Josh, and we want to thank you for taking the time to learn about us, our quirks, and all the love we have to share! We have always known that we wanted to be fathers and are excited to be on the journey to make that a reality.

When we met, we instantly bonded over our shared values, love of reading, and all things nerdy. We love experiencing new things and exploring this world together. Whether it’s a Harry Potter themed proposal, dressing up for Renaissance faire, or staying home and playing board games, we seek the magic in life.

Josh is a Senior Software Engineer and Dan is a Public Health Program Manager. We love our cat, Archie, and dog, Balto, and they are both super sweet and huge cuddle bugs! Family is very important to us, and we are so lucky to be part of such a big, loving, blended, and chosen one.

We wanted you to know how much we admire your bravery and courage through this journey. We have so much love to give, and hope you can be a part of that, but above all, we will always honor your decision.

Hello! We’re Jason and Ryan, and we are so excited to become parents!

We have been together since 2017 and got married in 2022. Our careers allow us the flexibility to work from home full-time. Jason works as a technology consultant, and Ryan is at a software company. Our dog doesn’t mind this schedule, since it means lunchtime walks to one of our four local parks.

We are lucky to have many local family members and long-time friends (many with small children) ready and eager to welcome a baby. We have a tradition of hosting holiday and summer parties for friends and family (we tend to be the favorite Uncles since we have a pool). We love having our friends over for outdoor movies, game nights, or exploring the state during our summer camping trips.

We believe in letting a child grow into their own person and providing a safe, loving, nurturing environment. We know how important it is to do the work through all the stages of a child’s development and the importance of stability.
