June 6th is Visually Impaired People Day. ๐
This day celebrates the resilience, achievements, and potential of blind and visually impaired individuals while promoting inclusion, accessibility, and independence.
Itโs important to note that vision loss does not define a childโs future. With the right tools, support, and opportunities, blind and visually impaired children can learn to play, travel, pursue their goals, and navigate the world with confidence.
For many children, a guide dog can be a life-changing tool, allowing for greater mobility, independence, and freedom.
At Mira USA, we are proud to provide these guide dogs to blind American children ages 11 through 17, free of charge, helping them build confidence and embrace new possibilities. ๐ฆฎ
